Life was already expensive for decades- rent/food/gas/etc. But life has never been MORE expensive since COVID. Every damn corporation has used Covid as an excuse to jack up the price of literally everything. In the USA, cost of food has skyrocketed, cost of rent which was already sky high, has gotten more sky high, cost of goods for everything across the board has gone up. OFC now after the tariffs, it’s going to be even WORSE in the next coming years. Great time to be alive eh?
Am I the only one to b!tch about the cost of living? I feel like I’m the only one. In this forum as well as other forums and groups (even literally groups called “Rants” where ppl b!tch about everything)- I’m like the only one consistently b!tching about the cost of shit. Why is that? I can’t be the only one that it’s impacting- I KNOW it’s impacting at least HALF the US population- yet I do not see much more complaining from ppl about the cost of everything. I mean yes, the cost of eggs ppl are bitching about. But what about the cost of everything else? Where’s the mass outrage? Anger? Like if this was France, we’d be rioting out in the streets and having mass strikes. But in the USA, I feel like ppl are just lemmings with their heads stuck in the sand, and basically bend over and take whatever the elites do to us up the A*SS.
It’s been 5 fucking years. Costs have NOT gone down, only up up and up. And it will only continue to go up. At what point will Americans FINALLY be fed up enough to do something about it? France and Canada had notable strikes. I’m sure UK has too. But USA? Nope. Americans are just not politically active- as in actually DOING something about things. We just bicker online amongst ourselves with Left vs Right shit.

Yea fr it’s fucking insane. I’ve had to cut back on food, necessities and driving anywhere (gas is outa control). The problem is we’ve got an administration that doesn’t give a shit. Seriously this isn’t just a criticism with Trump’s taxes/tarriffs but the fact that there’s no amount of protesting, marching or petitions that’ll make a shitsworth of difference because we’re really under the control of a totalitarian government.
Any time you have one party controlling all 3 branches of government you’re screwed up the bunghole. Republican or Democrats it doesn’t matter. The fact is the dumbasses of this country have put 1 party in control of everything so we’ve got no room to complain about what’s happening.
