That’s awful. I dispensed a little work this morning that I thought was going to be big drama, then family was big drama.
What makes people feel better? Recently I decided that The Hobbit was the ultimate feel good book of all time, because Bilbo is ultimately bulletproof through the whole book, same goes for LOTR and the entire Fellowship. Good triumphs over evil, and everyone who does filthy things seems to get what they have coming.
Honestly though, most horror books have that kind of morality too. You get the reveal of what awful thing or things the person who is about to die has done right before you see them killed in almost every horror book I’ve read. There’s a practical reason; the author needs you to be okay with them killing that person off.
If you were nearby I’d share some of my goodies with you, but you are not alas. At the very least I could give you some ice cream, who isn’t cheered by ice cream in summer?
A cold soda is also a good go to, mine has a touch of bourbon in it.
and of course, my night wouldn’t be complete without THC.
So those are my recommendations. I didn’t know if you wanted recommendations, but I try to be helpful 😛
Don’t know if you can tell, also in pain, but I am concerned for yours.
No, books just make life MORE depressing. Bc of the fact that books (and movies) generally always have good triumph over evil- it makes one believe (especially growing up)- that real life is this way. But when you become an adult and start working, you find out it’s ALL LIES. you become already jaded by the ripe old age of 22. you see all the injustice. all the evil ppl get ahead in life and all the good hard-working ppl get NOWHERE. i’m talking about my peers- ppl i know IRL (from school, friends of friends, etc)- nevermind all the swamp creatures that are living a life of health, wealth and excess by screwing the rest of us over.
In the end, it is evil and assholery and selfishness that almost always wins, not the good/kind/hardworking. All these tales of the good triumphing over evil are LIES. very rarely do ppl get justice. very rarely do the rich/evil/corrupt get any kind of consequence. Nor the shitty ppl we know IRL.
unfortunately, i now can’t have sugar or soda. so i can’t even assuage my pain with tasty junk food. well ok, i do cheat. funny thing- i had wanted to get a vanilla cone today, but my stupid app wouldn’t work, so i didn’t get one.

Hey Eternal,
Saw your last post, that really sucks.
I’ve been way in my own head lately. I’m overanalyzing I think.
I can’t seem to relax lately.
I’m just trying my best to keep it all together. To keep myself going.
What do you normally do on a day to day?
Well, if I’m not out on some drs appt or lab or therapy, then online I guess. Watching YT. Or thinking of death. You know, the usual… -_-

I need to calm down with the junk food myself honestly, haha
I’m probably about to play a city builder game (in the vein of games like Animal Crossing) and just try to focus on that for a while.
I will have my gelato and chips and think of you both for a moment.
Ideals aren’t realistic. I don’t want people to suffer in the world. We should be able to feed and house everyone that needs it, ideally.
I think we’re all stuck on survival mode, some worse than others. Which is crazy because I know I have some level of food and shelter security atm.
It’s so fucked up. Diseases are fucked up. Homelessness, fucked up. Starvation, fucked up.
If a cheat day helps you. Take that cheat day. We should all be able to find some level of happiness and comfort in life, damn it.
