well, it’s true that the wealthy have it easy, no doubt about that.. I just think they should pay their fair share of the taxes, since they used the infrastructure, monetary system, education and all of society to get where they are. That view doesn’t align much with us citizens but, I still believe it. If the us politics wasn’t as corrupt as it is (aka, everybody can be bought), I think it would go a lot better than what it’s doing rn. Just my 2 cents. the big question is how do you change such system..
1- what view doesn’t align much with citizens? that the rich should pay their fair share of taxes? don’t most americans believe that? i mean, the ones that don’t are bloody insane. did you know, the rich used to pay as much as 90% in taxes during WWII? it wasn’t until f*cking Reagan that the rich began paying less and less and less in taxes, till the point where they literally paid NO taxes by the time George W Bush got done with it. And Trump just gave even more BILLIONS in tax breaks to the rich with his “Big Beautiful Bill.” Yeah, it’s a beautiful bill for the rich. Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk make BILLIONS, but the avg Joe pays more in taxes than they do. Anyone who thinks the rich should pay no taxes or little taxes is an idiot. Brainwashed by MSM.
2- How do we change such a system? We have to get money out of politics. No more political “donations”- aka bribes. Till we do that, the masses are fucked.
Yes, I think we’re saying the exact same thing. By the view not aligning, I was talking about us citizens saying they want the least amount of government involved and “let the bull loose” kind of mentality. Government need to at least regulate, else, the greed will just push companies and people into making selfish, criminal in some cases and bad decisions, but the government needs to be uncorrupted to begin with for it to work. Anyway, maybe I don’t express myself very well, english isn’t my first language, and overall, I’m not that good at expressing myself anyway, even in my first language. You get the idea tho, again, I think we’re saying the same thing here. I agree with reagan, bush and trump making the poor poorer and the rich, richer. Like the 176k$ ceiling on paying social security, it’s just not fair at all.
unfortunately, most americans are too dumb to see that they are being brainwashed by MSM/the rich to believe and vote for all the policies that screw themselves over. -_-
