lol your depressing feed puts mine to shame. I usually stick to fictionalized biopics of famous dead people whose lives sucked. Since it’s fictionalized it’s kinda glamorized, and the fact that they accomplished something adds another element of “hope” to offset the bs.
Also sarcastic comedies about how crappy the world is. I consider that depressing but with a bounce. SNL’s weekend update usually scratches that itch.
I can’t imagine watching tragic lives of stupid people who amounted to nothing. Yea that would torch my remaining faith in humanity. Dunno if I can handle any more of that. But sometimes I do check out that website that lists all the latest hunting accidents. There are some real brain surgeons waving guns around the woods.
well the reality is that most ppl will never accomplish anything in their lives. what’s depressing for ME is that the older i get (and i am getting pretty old) the LESS likely i’m going to ever accomplish anything. and hence, the greater the depression of a life not well lived / squandered / screwed by the universe.
well i have no hope left in humanity. humans are either dumb af, ignorant af, or just plain evil, uncaring, unempathetic, selfish, manipulative, etc. or both dumb AND evil. very few “good” ppl left, let alone good AND intelligent AND those who try to help out humanity.
wow- i guess i am the most depressed person out there. even you have more hope in humanity. i have seen the ugliness of humans- all kinds of humans not just the obvious “bad” people.
what does one do when one has lost all hope in humanity and views humanity in such a pessimistic light? (my views are VERY well warranted, i might add). to see life more positively, i would have to delude myself. which is not going to happen.
People definitely suck ass. And I know exactly what you mean about ‘all kinds of humans not just the obvious “bad” people’. Sometimes I think the mostly-good people are the worst people on the planet because they hurt others without accepting what they’ve done.
I suppose the only thing saving me is isolation. Hah the same thing that’s killing me is saving me. I hate this lousy ass town where I’m stuck, but at least people are mostly invisible. I haven’t said a word to anyone in ages except the checkout person at the supermarket or a random good morning to a stranger in the park.
If you’re forced to see people and interact with them every day (I think you mentioned your mom is back in your life?), it would be impossible to have any hope.
Total isolation isn’t much better but I guess at least it’s a slower death.

For me, nothing. Thinking about the past , present, or future sometimes is depressing enough as is.
It’s not necessary to be depressed to be suicidal either.
