Have you ever considered that nature selects psychopaths? That “survival of the fittest” leads to the perpetuation of psychopathic genes? Humans or animals or plants who are the most ruthless tend to survive. “Nice“ animals do not survive but the most ruthless and selfish do. The same applies for humans.
Hence Why so many humans are so selfish and greedy and ruthless. Nature selects for those attributes. Just take a look at those two video clips below. There’s many more like it but life in the animal world is brutal. Seems like nature selects for the biggest assholes.

hmmm, I would have picked corvids to focus on if it was me, most intelligent birds on the planet and most ruthless, take Cardinals, they love to dominate a feeding spot and will drive off other less aggressive birds. Cardinals are in season here, I like to encourage them. Blue jays are no slouch mind you, close relatives of the cardinals. We get them too.
I agree with your assessment, nature does seem to select for a certain ruthlessness and intelligence. Thank God for that, we need smart birds, to balance out the rodent population. See, it all works together, the birds hunt the rodents, the rodents hunt the insects, the insects keep the micro organisms in check. You take out one species the whole food web collapses. I feed the small birds because the bigger birds have to eat.
I still wonder what happened to the several real psychopaths that I’ve met. Two of them I left in an asylum that closed, and the other I left at a company that I left many years ago. Rat kings is a term I’ve started calling them, they’re incredibly charismatic when they want to be, but also capable of immense damage if left unchecked.
I might have run into one last year, but she didn’t have the ambition you usually see with a true rat king. A true rat king wants to conquer and spread misery, it’s something to behold. I mean, take away my kindness, and I have to admire the raw ambition. When you meet a true rat king, they’ll either have or be about to leave a huge crater in their wake. It takes a deeply damaged individual to lack the sensitivity towards others to be capable of that, and you have to combine it with years of hard work climbing the corporate ladder and intelligence.
I don’t know if I want to hunt rat kings anymore, to be honest. I don’t know how I got the gig last time. It’s just something I know about, because like I said I’ve met a few. They succeed very well in the corporate world. Capitalism is their incubator. They know how to be transactional.
Sadly, money will eventually stop being enough, or there will eventually not be enough money. You can’t feed a hunger that can never be filled. That sort of person doesn’t know how to be satisfied. That’s what is wrong with their brains, and their hearts. When they find that out, they leave horrible wreckage behind them.
Like I said; rat kings, they’ll always leave a crater behind them. Someone has to stop them, and I gave up that job. Society needs to get better at identifying and preventing the damage, it’s just the way things are.
The reality of (animal or human) nature usually is not so great for one’s mental health. That’s why many programs omit certain parts.
but everyone is living with their head in the sands. some know but refuse to acknowledge it. most prefer not to know. and the rest are too ignorant to know.
for the people who do know, like us depressives, all it does is show us how sick and twisted the world is, not just humans but all life forms on earth. like that bird was just hatched and it knew to kill the other 2 birds before it could hatch. like how evil is that? and yes, they are sentient creatures. birds are actually really smart, like crows (lots of scientific studies and experiments testing the intelligence of birds), so they’re not idiot bird brains who don’t know what they’re doing.
anyhow, all of humanity and life forms on earth are evil. in order to survive, they all need to kill their competition. and for humans? well the ones that knock down other humans are the ones that become high paid Politicians, CEOs, VPs, Presidents, Executives, Lawyers, Drs, etc. I have yet to see a very rich but truly kind and benevolent person.
Even low-level success- ie 200K+/yr- tends to be full of dickwads.
i am sick of how terrible humans are.
i am sick of how terrible nature is too.
we are put into a system where the “strong” aka Assholes, gobble up the weak, or “nice” people.
Why give a shit about animals. Look no further than the most powerful men on the planet: Trump. Putin, Hitler. Netanyahu, Kim Jong Un. Going all the way back to Napoleon, Caesar, Ramses, what do they all have in common? They’re fucking psychos with no compunction about inflicting horrific suffering, and guess what. They are the strongest, the most impactful and by all external observation the “greatest” of our species. This will never change, so we need to either get used to it or quit the game. I’m all for the latter.
Why give a shit about animals? Because animals, as well all other lifeforms, Show us how this world was designed. Earth was designed to weed out the nice and weak. All life forms on earth were designed to propagate those who are the most “strongest,” selfish, greedy and psychopathic.
My point is, focusing on animals is like focusing on a mouse in your kitchen as some asshole burns your house down. Animals have maintained the planet in equilibrium for billions of years, whether or not you agree with their methods. Humans on the other hand are the ones who scorch everything, poison the air and send cops to shoot you in the fucking face just because you don’t have the right skin color.
and my point is, that the conditions on Earth is what creates and encourages psychopaths, from birds to animals to even plants. that every living thing on Earth is rotten due to having to outcompete and outsurvive it’s peers and predators, and this has been occurring before humans ever showed up.
i agree with you that humans are shitty ass creatures. but humans aren’t the only problem. you get rid of humans, and we STILL have all this other stuff going on on Earth. All these birds murdering their siblings at birth, as do sharks and ants and many other organisms. you think humans are viscous and cruel? while we are, it pales in comparison to what nature does to each other. yes, they do it on a “lesser” scale since they haven’t dominated the Earth, but that doesn’t make them any less viscous. Look at the things that bacteria do to us. To animals and plants and humans. Dying from a bacterial infection is a *****. Watch some videos of it killing humans or animals over days/weeks/months and you’ll see how viscous nature is.
you know i hate humans. but Earth is full of nasty viscous fucks- from animals to birds to insects to bacteria to yes, even plants. and THAT is even more depressing.
