Or am I to assume that whatever is out there is just as useless as the avg/shitty therapists and psychiatrists?

Not really a depression app, but I used ChatGPT to help talk me thru some messed up crap. One thing I did was right in the beginning I told it “I hate contrived positivity” so it knew to avoid saying dumb things like “IT GETS BETTER!”
What I did was pick a few famous people who died by suicide, in whose lives I saw parallels with mine, and I told ChatGPT to compare my life with theirs and predict if I’m gonna end the same way.
It was actually kinda helpful in pointing out some differences or “strengths” that I could be able to use.
But this was like 1 year ago, and since then all the dumbshit whiners have sued ChatGPT for talking about suicide, so afaik all that stuff is banned, you can’t talk about suicide because it’ll shut you down. That’s probably the same with most apps, some dumbshit whiners complain “YOUR APP KILLED MY KID” (no, dumbass, your shitty parenting killed your kid) so all the apps get either censored or sanitized to the point where you can’t even open up to a dumb computer.
yup, everything gets yanked bc of 1 or 2 dumbass kids, whether it’s fucking candy or ChatGPT. ChatGPT and AI have been used for evil things like creating deepfakes and fake videos. NONE of THAT is fricking banned.
yes- it’s always blame this video game, or that tv show, or that song, or blame Marilyn Manson or Britney when no parent holds themselves accountable for the shit their kids did.
OH- i just saw the other last night- remember the the Beavis and Butthead episode where they lit something on fire and a kid supposedly copied Beavis and Butthead and burned down their home, killing his 2yp sister. and they pulled that episode off air. WELL, turns out the mother was LYING saying the kid had watched Beavis and Butthead and copied them. Neighbors said she didn’t even have cable. And a decade later, the kid himself said they never had cable and he didn’t watch the show.
I mean I fucking hated that stupid ass show, bc it does encourage kids to be fucking idiots, but this time it wasn’t the show that caused the kid to burn down that house.
funny how other smaller shows that got blamed for shit got completely removed from air (not just the episode but the entire show pulled) yet this stupid ass cartoon that shows nothing but jackassery and dumbassery, is still on the fucking air. i hate this show but for reasons unrelated to this fire.

I BLAME SHITTY ASS PARENTS (and there are SO MANY- like almost the entire generation) and I BLAME SOCIETY AT LARGE. Everything has gone down the shitter. People have become fucking AWFUL nowadays.

i know you’re a fan of chatGPT, but Sam Altman is a disgusting POS. He most definitely killed Suchir, and his sister came out about him SAing and raping her when she was a kid.
all these CEOs and rich ppl are monsters. Non-monsters don’t become rich and powerful. They just don’t. When those ppl find out the truth, they drown themselves in alcohol or drugs to cope with the reality of all the shit that goes on. The ones that can function and live “normally” and sleep like a baby are the psychopaths who don’t GAF about anyone or anything and aren’t bothered by all the shit they do to become rich and powerful. And I would know bc I’ve met psychopaths and sociopaths. Everything is easy when you don’t have a conscience and don’t care.
Wow I didn’t know that about Altman (didn’t even know the name) but what a POS. I stopped using ChatGPT anyway. The only reason I ever used it was because Google AI tracks everything you say, and at least ChatGPT lets you use it anonymously without having an account.
ChatGPT pointed out that I have a creative side that some of the others didn’t have. Like they were laser focused on their careers or athletics or whatever, whereas I have creative hobbies like drawing & whatnot that I’ve been good at since I was a kid. I don’t think that’s gonna stop me from killing myself but it’s true that I have 1 outlet that those others didn’t have.
The Beavis & Butthead thing is disgusting, and yea that’s the problem with our litigious whining society, everyone sues everyone else to shift the blame, and the wrong people end up taking the fall, censorship runs rampant, and then it turns out that wasn’t even the cause -_-
I also hate Beavis & Butthead but I’m not gonna crucify the show for the wrong thing. It’s kinda like Ozzy, I hate the guy (Dio forever lol), but I read that he got sued in the 80s for “causing” a kid’s suicide because he was listening to the song “Suicide Solution” the night he shot himself.
Well the judge rightly dismissed the case and pointed out that music & arts can be about any subject and it’s supposed to be taken figuratively. Of course this was 40 years ago, and since then our totalitarian government is censoring everything, I bet today Ozzy would either lose or be forced to settle with some huge payout. In any case even though I don’t like the guy, I don’t think the song caused anyone’s suicide. The kid was already suffering from a ton of problems but nobody investigated any of that. Blame the song he was listening to!
