Wish I could slip away

I’ve been racking my brain, trying to think of a way I could slip away peacefully, quietly, but I can’t come up with anything.  Every option seems so uncertain.  Who knew it could be so hard to end my life.  It would be so much easier if something could happen to me.  I wish I could trade places with a terminally ill person.  Someone who doesn’t deserve it, like a child.  I’d gladly take on their burden.

God can be so cruel sometimes.
