I’m through now trying to find a reason to live. I found a few, explored them and had more doors shut on me. I know it’s not manly, but I was pretty damn scared of killing myself – oh sure the planning was easy, but when it came to the time, I felt I just wasn’t ready and it scared me. This past week I have been feeling braver about it. I have a plan that I’m comfortable with, and to tell you the truth, I’m a little excited about it, and I feel peaceful. I’m not gonna fuck about when the time comes, I’m gonna down a couple of whiskeys and pull the trigger. First though I’ve got DVD’s to get through.

I don’t know how many times I’ve said this, but sleeping pills work wonders.
^^ Not everyone has easy access to prescription sleeping pills. Do you keep bringing that up as a way to deter people from killing themselves? Everybody is different, if someone is comfortable with their chosen method then it is what it is.
shattered – I wouldn’t call it unmanly to be scared to kill yourself. I think that’s natural. So many people, so-called “normal” people, never consider suicide as an option for anything even when life becomes unbearable. Your own peace of mind is all that matters. Going through with suicide takes so much courage, takes balls. That’s why most people cannot go through with it and instead walk around completely miserable with life. I have yet to turn that corner as you put it. Won’t be much longer though.
First off, death is not the tragedy that everybody thinks it is. It’s simply another part of life. It’s just a transition from one place to another; from this physical world, to a non-physical world. Physical death is meaningless, it’s arbitrary, it’s a joke, it’s irrelevant. The physical body is nothing but a temporary vehicle or tool that Consciousness/Awareness/Spirit uses to temporarily experience this physical world. The key word there is “temporarily”. Billions and billions of physical bodies have died in the past, and billions more will die in the future. One way, or another, sooner, or later, everybody and everything dies. It’s not a big deal. That’s just the way this physical world is. It is a world of change and evolution. Nobody can avoid physical death. Nobody. When it’s time to leave this physical world, it’s time to leave. Do you know of anybody that hasn’t died, or that won’t die? Then what’s the point of getting all upset about it?
