Seems like it takes eternity to make a dream come true
In her world, the clouds will never let the sun shine through
Just like she’ll really never understand her hold on you
She says “If you loved me then you would never do the stuff that you do”
If envy is green, tell me why she’s blue
I’m blue
daba dee daba die
Like I was submerged in dye
Or as if green is a lie
You need wings just to fly
So you slice your own high
But you stay out of blue skies
And let life pass you by
Seems like it takes eternity to get through life
The kids mother lost the battle after that whole fight
Motherless, and no tuck-ins, he couldnt sleep at night
He slits his wrist and writes a letter with his last bit of might
His little sister reads “Dad, protect my sister, alright?”
But she wonders why he’s blue
I’m blue
daba dee daba die
Like I was submerged in dye
Or as if green is a lie
You need wings just to fly
So you slice your own high
But you stay out of blue skies
And let life pass you by
Seems like it takes eternity to find true love
Her daddy was so drunk that night he gave her that shove
Mommy denied it and she spent 9months being misjudged
She loved it even when it was born as still as a dead mans blood
She named her daughter Blue
I’m blue
Daba dee daba die
Like I was submerged in dye
Or as if green is a lie
You need wings just to fly
So you slice your own high
But you stay out of blue skies
And let life pass you by

Wow. This is very good. As hopeless as life is. Truth can still be beautiful, even beautifully horrific if put in true poetic form.
