Don’t be part of the problem – Let happiness rule.
This is where smart comes in.. like learning to communicate via computer technology.
It’s wrong to bring children into a world in which you cannot at least guarantee them a fair chance (within reasonable definitions). Anyone who does, without the resources to provide a sufficient development process, is part of the problem. History doesn’t exist as a blueprint for what the future should be; it should be studied in order to learn what and how to do better and differently. The majority is not always right. In fact, the majority is usually wrong, because most people do not have gifted intellect and specialized knowledge. Most people are just ignorant breeding animals. Sure, everyone has a right to their own life… but that’s no excuse to just blatantly disregard the potential for your actions to have devastating consequences to others; especially when those others end up being your own neglected children, who never had the chances you were supposed to give them. Intelligence should be the pinnacle of respect in this world, but breeding capacity and sex appeal are clearly prioritized. Most people don’t want to think; they want to fuck (not that there’s anything “wrong” with sex…). Like i said: ignorant breeding animals. Most people will always choose what feels good, over what is the smart thing to do (when those things are in conflict).
I don’t think that everyone should just totally stop reproducing at all… but i think people need to do far more careful consideration of their choices, prior to making them, instead of just popping out numerous offspring and riding the welfare train.
The problem is you cant guarantee your child anything. at all. As woody Allen said,” I can’t guarantee a child anything. I can’t guarantee that I was around five minutes after he or she was born.” You cannot guarantee your child that there will be water to drink tomorrow, or that she won’t become disfigured (hell that’s what happened to me. my parents never would have imagined), or be shredded to bits in a war. Best to let the unborn remain where they are.
