In my experience, the nature of the content (or that which you wish to “tell”) dictates whether or not you are open about it or choose to “beat around the bush” because…eventually we’re going to tell anyway, it’s just a matter of whether we want to make life difficult for the person/s on the receiving end.

If only the answer was as simple, right?

My thoughts on the matter, anyway.
ask yourself two important and contrasting questions:
1. what will happen if i do?
2. what will happen if i do not?
If neither is “good,” i advise going with the least bad of all available options.
Weight consequences vs benefits of both… then you know what to do
I try to make a habit of telling the wrong person. It’s more fun that way.
lorax, if you ran the world we would be in monty python heaven (can’t get much better than that)
