Mirror, mirror, on my wall,
I just want to be thin, pretty and tall
Mirror, mirror, if I change my hair,
maybe someone will start to care?
Mirror, mirror, if I starve myself,
at least I’ll be beautiful, forget my health.
Mirror, mirror, if I cut my wrist
will I feel like I exist?
Mirror, Mirror, don’t you see?
What you show, is ruining me.
For far too long it had watched her cry,
so the mirror decided to reply:
“What you think you see? It isn’t true.
This misery is found inside of you.
Don’t lock yourself in a broken soul,
or I promise you one day, you’ll lose all control.”

I love this, great poem. Thanks for sharing.
Mirror, mirror, why don’t you show what’s true?
It isn’t what’s outside it’s what’s inside of you
Horrible Heartless people with a good looking face
Stare at you for hours thinking that they’re really ace
They pose all high in grace as their disgrace doesn’t show
Do you really think reflections reflect the things we do not know?
You can glow just like a star all while you’re black as the night
Be victorious in battle yet you do not show the fight
How can anybody really see who they truly are
When the truth of us from the outsides is so very far
Mirror, mirror, I do not think you’ve done that well
People can look like they’re from heaven while they’re really straight from hell
How so good though you would be if you’d reflect the soul
Then what we are when we looked at you would finally be whole
