Hello to all,
I don’t pretend to know anyone’s situation or desire to end their life. What I do know is that I have lost many close friends to suicide and that during several low points in my life I have tried to kill myself at least a half a dozen times. These were not cries for help on my end, and I totally went for it with the most purpose driven determination possible. One such attempt put me in a coma for several weeks.
So I can definitely offer advice, empathy, and even sympathy to anyone who may need someone to talk to. I don’t and won’t pretend to have “all the answers,” but I do promise to talk to you (and most importantly) listen to what you have to say and share your feelings with. I found, at least for myself, it helped to talk to someone.
Not everyone is as fortunate to have a support system, let alone anyone to talk to. I can provide an ear, share some of my life experiences with; regarding suicide, or just chat about the weather.
What I do promise is that I will never condem you, pontificate, devalue your thoughts and feelings, or attempt to “solve” or “cure” any of your problems! I know that everyone has different life experiences (environmentally, spiritually, different circumstances, and tragedies) that gives each and everyone of you your own reasons to give up on life in general… I’ve had my fair share of tragic issues that were beyond my control.
No matter how bad off anyone feels or thinks they are, there’s always someone out there that has it harder and tougher than we could potentially fathom. Same thing applies to the flip side of the coin. I tell my children that no matter how good you think you are at something, (intelligence, skill set, financially, etc…) there’s always somebody out there better at whatever it is they think they are the best at. I truly try to raise them most humbly as possible. I live my life day to day and my mantra usually tends to follow The Golden Rule and try to Pay it Forward, as was done to me when I was at my lowest point. I’m not religious by any means but feel it’s my time to provide some type of “Hope,” as was given to me. I also repeat the mantra “That this to shall pass,” even if it’s not possible to believe it at the time; I assure you that the horizon gets closer as the years go by.
Again, I am never going to condem you or devalue your feelings. I will just be that voice or text that you can trust will never exploit you, abuse you, or cause you anymore grief or harm on top of all the pressures already going on in your life/lives. I offer friendship and non-judgment to anyone wishing to contact me. Our conversations will be entirely safe and confidential.
I’ve been fortunate in my life to have met some amazing people and travel across the world. So I can and may be able to share some insight into or towards your troubles, or maybe not. To quote “Rocket Queen,” a song by Guns N’ Roses: “I’ve seen everything imaginable pass before these eyes. I’ve had everything that’s tangible, Honey you’d be surprised!” Axl later sings in the outro of the song these powerful words: “Don’t ever leave me. Say you’ll always be there. All I ever wanted was for you to know that I care!”
I promise I’ll always be there for you. You will always have someone who cares and I will never leave you. You’ll always have a friend in me who, I hope, will be helpful to you in someway. This is my promise to you. Even if it’s a cathartic release, it should be helpful. I’ll enjoy the company as well and can certainly relate to someone who has given up on hope, friendship, things getting better, and even life. I am a living testiment to it.
Give me a chance. I won’t let you down.
-Ryan

Thank you for this, it really lifted my mood quiet a bit and I really needed to hear it. I hope you have a wonderful day.
Have gotten several people to contact me and have met some amazingly wonderful people!
I do not regret posting this, as I truly believe I’ve made a difference, and am happy with the overwhelming response!
Do not shy away or hesitate to contact me day or night. I’m here for you if you’re feeling low, need a friend or just want to talk about anything in general.

good to hear
always nice when someone reaches out to those that might not dare reach out themselves
and even better when they manage to find something useful, glad to hear, and I hope more people see it and take advantage of your very kind offer
maybe come back once in a while and “repost” so it eventually doesn’t get buried in a sea of misc posts?
again, thank you for doing this, thank you for being there, for caring and for trying to do what you can
I hope people find something they can use here
grateful and best wishes to you Ryan
