About a 2
A 2 on good days.
2 normally, some days I’m a 1
Yeah, I think I’m a 2 too.
2 in the good days…. Now 1 for sure.
3 and trying really hard not to reach a level where i’m one step away from suicide
3 one minute and could be a 1 the next my moods are really unstable atm
Ate.
I’d say I’m a 2, very close to a 1
Now…3. But on a rollercoaster…
I’m going to go with the imaginary number ‘i’ which means ‘in total agony but hell bent on staying alive at the moment for the sake of saying FU to the universe.’
I was wondering why the universe hides under a blanket whenever you’re around.
In my case, the universe is winning.
Me – 0
Universe – 1
Universe is kicking my ass
Oh wow Salt that is powerful. “i” imaginary, yet immensely powerful…we make our own truths in a deeply fucked universe…hope is simultaneously impossible and integral to the fight.
Thank you for that
Please keep defying the universe
one – I spend every day thinking about my death from the second I open my eyes . It is a strange feeling ..
Right now a 6, but if I was answering this a month or even a year ago,a 1. I don’t think I have ever been blissfully happy for more than a few days….but I don’t think that’s humanly possible or even reasonable anyway.
Mostly these numbers are quite low, expected really given the platform…
My number changes so much that it’s almost restrictive to define it, the progression that I am all to aware of though is the gradual decline, step by step, year by year. If change isn’t implemented it’s all to easy to predict the trends development and eventual outcome.
I’ll point out that “1- Completely depressed- One step away from suicide” doesn’t always equate to suicide, many people can perpetually live in an agonising state, which is what we want to avoid.
Part of the reason in establishing mood is to address anomalies if required. That is the point right? we must work on increasing the number.
Obviously circumstance and causal factors vary, there isn’t a one size fits all solution, rather a individual and tailored process.
I think establishing an initial starting point is beneficial, although only part of it. The next and vital step is to come up with ways of gradually going up that ladder. Small steps can make a big difference…
I think we often possess more information than we think we do which can potentially lead to an improved life. Honest self reflection can often pinpoint cause, which is necessary in fixing it and avoiding a recurrence. The danger is that our tainted mind set will dismiss positive ways to bring what we really want and focus only on the negative of why the situation will not improve. In that case it’s beneficial to listen to outside, constructive, and objective advice.
To clarify, I hold an ambiguous position on suicide, a realistic case by case view based off circumstance, prospect of recovery, and quality of life.
I don’t automatically perceive a happy ending. My intent to persuade others in improving the number (where possible) reflects the dire state and constant struggle of living in one of the low numbers. It’s a sad place to be and I think that if there is any way possible of increasing the number we have to be open to it.
Yeah, I would assume most people on SP would be between 1-5. If you’re happier than average, then I’d be puzzled as to why you’d be on here (other than bipolar?) . But hey, you never know.
I guess I’m “glad” there’s other 2’s on here like me. Depression makes you feel so alone, yet, there’s millions of people suffering individually. Collectively, we aren’t alone, but individually we are. How odd is that, right?
