since when does chemo “cure” cancer?
it’s a treatment option, sometimes a decent one, but fuck any person or doctor that would claim it to be a “cure”
hell, it can even cause cancer or other fatal damage, which is why it’s good to ask questions, engage in thorough dialogue with one’s physician, second and third opinions from others than the treating party even after treatment has started, since not all doctors are equal in mindset or practice,
fuck some just start patients on certain chemos without the patient actually knowing until one day looking up the pills out of curiosity learning they been treated for and with something they weren’t even informed about
but for some it’s the option they have until big ****** decides, or gets regulated enough, that the better treatments become available one day
sometimes if wanting, even if only just a 1% chance at times, to get better or “win”, then drastic measures has to be weighed in when in a shit situation.
if all there is to cauterize a wound is napalm to stop a bleed, bite down and treat the burns later… might not be a great cure, but better than a band aid when in a pinch…
cancer sucks, but life is sucky lottery with the most incredible and crappy prizes, that some win more than others,
can’t do anything but play the hand you’ve been dealt to the best of your abilities and desires, until the moment you can’t play no more…
