how about a “head bath”? take a large bowl, fill it with boiling water, take a towel over your head and stick your head over as a sort off sauna for your head only, will make the “juices” flow eventually, just remember to breathe out/exhale with your nose only,
some say put a dash of camomile, lemon or eucalyptus in will make it even better, though for me the steam alone seems to do the trick
(and not like you keep the water boiling in the bowl, you just put some water in a kettle or pot to boil then poor it in the bowl, so you dont cook yourself)
Good grief, because I have rhinitis, I read your post as being a chronic thing. Reading the other responses I realize you meant a stuffed nose *right now*. I am such a dope sometimes.
You were right the first time, it is a chronic thing. Nothing I’ve tried works more than a few minutes or more than a brief moment. Every day I’m congested. Decongestion meds make it better short term, but using them long term actually makes my nasal passages drier and worse.
I do do steamy showers. It helps for like during the shower and about 10 min after. Then it goes to s*** again. I;ve done warm compresses on my nose/face. It helps for that 10 min or however long, but again, fleeting.

have you ever gotten your nose and sinuses checked or scoped?
my brother had congested nose so that he couldn’t breathe through it, popped nasal sprays galore to stop the congestion, but like you said, made it worse
then it turned out he had an “internal” issue and actually had to have a minor surgery, something with an enlarged muscle near or around the area, aggravated by the meds, eventually causing sinus infections
i sorta imagined it as slightly different nose job, go in and have the doctor chisel and drill a tunnel through him
but hey worked, and he’s “clear”, even got rid of the majority of headaches he had too, turns out it were linked lol
anyways just a thought, maybe its worth getting scoped to checkout if its chronic

I cannot vouch for him, but you might want to look up Dr. Robert Ivker.
What about spicy food and a hot shower and then a cup of hot chocolate
When you say humidifier, do you mean vaporizer ?
I was going to recommend a vaporizer. The feeling of warm water vapor in my nasal passages gives me great relief.
No cure, of course …. just relief.
I was gonna recommend saline rinses (you can get those yoga pitchers, I have one called NoseBuddy).
But otherwise: exercise. I may hate running, but it seems to do the trick in that regard.

Spicy food- no can do. Can’t stomach it.
