Most people don’t want to die- we just want a different life. Whether it’s having a different family, having had a different childhood, having a different body, not being sick or injured, being surrounded by better people, or not being or having had to grow up dirt poor and deprived, etc.
If we had different lives, we wouldn’t want to die so badly. It’s the shit we’ve had (and still have) to deal with in our lives we can’t stand. And the mistakes and wrong decisions we’ve made that feel unforgiveable.
Most of us feel worn out, hopeless that things will get better. After decades, the hope rightfully has died out. When will things get better? Never. There’s always some more shit life throws at us. And we wind up sad little broken puppies on SP…

Wauw this describes everything in such a perfect way. Deep inside I don’t want to die, I just want a different life and personality
Yes, most of us just want to escape our situation/circumstances, and we feel our only way out of that is death. Most of us don’t actually want to die, which is why attempting or actually committing suicide is so hard.
Exactly.. That’s what’s stopping me too. But living this life in these circumstances is like living hell. I just wish I was somebody else
You’re so right. Who would want to die, had the circumstance been more bearable or hopeful? Some numb themselves with alcohol and the like, others seek more longer lasting solution…
