When things are so sucky you want to end it all, and yet are unable to, due to laws or lack of good, legal methods.
I am living a tortured existence.
I wish to have never been born, to have never existed, to have never had to live through years and decades of pain and agony and suffering. Yet, here I am- on this planet called Earth, with a bunch of twisted beings called “humans.”
But not all humans are bad you say. Not all, but there’s more than enough to make this world a shitty place. There is no justice, no fairness. Only greed and corruption and exploitation. And people being assholes because they can. Society as a whole, and individuals, suck. I just wish I didn’t have to be a part of all this fuckery. But my existence was not even my choice to begin with.

It’s the shits, isn’t it? And in the end, we’re eaten by worms, who poop us out. We’re all pre-worm poo? Hmmm.
Think of us as a semi-important stage in the composting process.
Worm #1: It’s so considerate of all those humans to leave all this food for us.
Worm #2: I know. I’d hate to have to go vegan.
Star Trek – The Next Generation aired an episode entitled Ethics. The whole thing centered around a crew member (Worf) who been paralyzed in a work related accident. Much of what we agonize over on SP was included in this story. He wanted to kill himself because he felt life in his paralyzed state was not worth living but he needed assistance to off himself. Such assistance was not prohibited but still plenty hard to obtain. Plenty of hand wringing at this stage and the story gets even more complex and goes on to include so much of what the normies do to us. I was irritated, disgusted, and informed as the story unfolded. The story was so true to life in the matters of right to die at the present. It is so cruel that a real life can seldom have a dignified or desired ending. The story ends with a happy 25th century Hollywood twist near the end.
I remember that episode!
I loved Worf; he was my favorite.
I remember I didn’t quite care for the other character’s preachy stance on assisted suicide.
Picard was decent, but Riker and Crusher both got on my nerves.
Today I googled and read excerpts from that old 1991 script. Riker and Crusher parroted the popular notions and gave Worf hell for wanting to either leave or undergo an operation with a small chance of complete recovery with dying on the table being it’s only other outcome. They made my blood pressure go up. Thanks to Picard, Worf finally got Crushers reluctant assistance with the every so risky medical procedure. It worked. But that happy ending was preceded by nearly an hour of “drink life to the dregs” moralizing. I must say, the writers really knew their stuff.
Is there a link to the full episode online?
So far I have found only bits and pieces of it on youtube.
I find it ridiculous how all the people who scream about how you shouldn’t kill yourselves are the ones who do absolutely nothing to help you. Every life is precious- except damned if I’m going to help you one bit.
Probably the same people who say, “Pull yourself up by your bootstraps!” without a trace of irony.
Especially those phuckers.
