I’m not sure about the rest of the world, but in Australia at least, it was R U OK day. And it got me thinking about how my life is going great and I’m happy and I’ve got great friends, I’m doing good in school and with family and all those things BUT I’m not okay. I might be happy in the moments but I’m just not happy still. I feel like I don’t have reasons for feeling this way I’m just miserable right now. So this question goes out to everyone else, are you okay?

HR sent out an email about R U OK? Day this morning. I just laughed at it in such a way that the entire office heard me, and knew not to question my response to that email.
In my job, I question my faith in humanity every farkin’ time I answer the phone. I don’t trust my colleagues to do the job right; I don’t trust management to keep my best interests in mind; I don’t trust my company to not turn its back on me in a heartbeat; and I sure as fark do not trust an end-user when they say that they’ve restarted their PC.
Am I okay?! Of course! It’s everyone else who needs to be power-cycled since “humility.exe” has stopped working for them…
This post made me raging. I actually just made a post about it. The “R U ok” movement is so narcissistically arrogant that it is going full retard. So look people. Another cult to keep the lemmings in line with positive thinking and behavioural heuristic. Pffft…
People don’t take it seriously anyway so like whenever someone would ask if you’re okay on that day it would be with sarcasm.
Also, im sorry to have made you made 🙂
It sounds like you dont have a good job…
I can only forecast the short-term, but right now I’m having a blinking contest with a cat, so I guess I’m okay. I blink quickly and he stares at me, I blink slowly and he blinks slowly and stares at me. Cats are weird.
I loved this, my cat always winks at me and I wink back.
I’m okay. I got out of bed today so that’s a start. @rivets , cats love the slow blink!
Theres always a start. And yes, they do love a slow blink or wink.
