Just beyond the horizon of a broken little grey life, lies a world full of beautiful places and peoples, birds and animals, trees, mountains, valleys, plains, rivers and oceans.
To think all that breathtaking innocence and unabashed friendship of nature is left untouched.
To think so many lives, through the ages and around the world, are left unlived.
Tragic beyond words.

I once went camping deep in the swamps of south Florida and my alarm clock was the sound of alligators munching on crunchy turtles. You can hear it for miles like the percussion track for a disturbing folk song. That and the constant hum of billions of mosquitoes waiting to give you West Nile or worse. Civilization and nature have a lot in common. Nature has mosquitoes, we have telemarketers and lawyers. Nature has alligators and turtle holocaust, we have consumers eating hamburgers.
To think that nature rightfully reclaims areas that humans haven’t touched for a looooong time.
