Life will always have its catastrophes, but you know what? The pai youre feeling right now is proof that you have a beautiful heart. A lot of people would kill for that – the ability to care deeply about someone or something other than themselves.

Hey just on a practical note… the quickest way to dispel the senselessness of death is to make sense of it. When my pup died I knew there was no way I’d come to grips with it, so I did the next best thing, I went to the pound and saved another dog immediately. And whenever I miss my boy I can look at the new dog I saved and think, she would be dead if my boy hadn’t died. Trade 1 life for another, that’s the best I could come up with.
