It’s a heart breaking loss, and being shattered by that is a valid response. Feel what you need to feel, not what you perceive others would want you to feel.
Draw from whom you trust, and beware of those that try and “comfort” you that only want to harvest your strength for themselves.
And care for yourself. The deeper you let yourself feel the quicker the grief will pass – but take the time you need.
