I guess the point is, that you can say that you’ve tried the best you could in that moment. Good luck.! Even though that’s kind of a pointless thing to say..
Ouch, that was pretty much my first year of undergrad. I’ll tell you what worked for me;
Going in and turning in whatever I could. Weirdest thing, doesn’t make any sense that it would work, but I’ve never failed a class that I turned every damn thing in for. Yet I consistantly failed classes that I missed exams for. Most of the time exams are 25% or more of grades. Downside- if it goes worse than the rest of your semester, you’re screwed. Upshot- if it has been a shit semester, which it sounds like it has, you can pull out a pass in a class you would normally have to retake.
Very worst case; you retake the damn class. It sucks, but college is more of a test of willpower than actual learning experience.

Perhaps try not thinking of failing as a negative. It is completely normal and also unavoidable. It is what it is so make it good.
