All life exists for a period of time. So all life will die after who knows how much time. Will all life result in death with no exception? What if with the help of technology in the future we will live much longer. What if we could/will live in virtual worlds for very long amounts of time? Or maybe cyborgs will also be an option.

All life will eventually die off, however they are working on reversing aging in humans. I think once they figure out how our DNA works, eventually they will fix all diseases, other problems and probably allow us to be immortal.
Also once they learn how biology stores data, they’ll eventually be able to upload our consciousness to the internet, or maybe even cyborgs…another way of becoming immortal.
Though I’m not sure people would want a cyborg body until it felt exactly the same as biological. I was hoping to at least see age reversal within our lifetimes, but I’ve seen that the field of medicine is pretty slow. Perhaps future generations will benefit, but sadly we won’t be here to see it.
If you believe in reincarnation, then maybe we’ll all come back as someone else. But I have a feeling this is it. Once we’re gone, there is no coming back. I don’t really believe in the idea of souls or a non-corporeal existence…since there is no evidence for it.
I think the next few centuries are going to be phenomenal, since we’ve finally reached a stage of mastery of science. Eventually we’ll spread out to other star systems, that’s when things will get really exciting.
Despite the problems in my life, that’s one thing I wish I could be around to see and experience.
No matter where you go, everyone’s connected. Stay safe out there.
I wish Virtual Reality (VR) & Artificial Intelligence (AI) will become reality, just like in those science fiction (sci-fi) movies.
Reality / real world / real life is boring, limiting, & depressing.
I am hoping mind uploading happens within my lifetime, because I’d do it. At the same time, I doubt that my soul will make the transfer, so it will be a simulacre of me, but what a simulacre with all my memories and opinions….
Eventually our sun will nova, and if we don’t figure out interstellar travel before then that’ll be the end of us
OR, you go further into the future and eventually the last sun will burn out, which means we’d have to figure out interdimensional travel to survive
I’m torn, the human will to survive is impressive, but so is the impulse to self destruct. I’ve read too much scifi, and for the most part it believes in people that are better than the ones I’ve met. The exceptions are; Player Piano by Kurt Vonnegut and Do Robots Dream of Electric Sheep by Philip K. Dick
