Hi well I thought I’d come back and say hi, I’m afraid I’m in a world of hurt, I’ve been bed ridden for the last six months.
Not exactually sure what’s wrong with me but I have a good idea, it’s my spine, I did something to it that left me in agonizing pain, not joking the pain is so bad I wish I were dead. Nobody can live with pain like this! I can’t move I lay flat on my back day after day, wanting to go to the ER wanting to die, never knew what pain was till this happened. The doctors won’t give me strong medication to survive. Only 5 MG percocet. They are inhumane. I’m am fighting to get this fixed I don’t want drugs, I want to find a cure but I need drugs to survive. They really just don’t get it, I will off myself if I have no hope. At this point any means would be fine long as it ended my suffering.

OMG Rocketman! An old name I recognize. What happened? What do you mean you did ‘something’ to your spine? Find better drs. Find a chiropractor. Idk, maybe they can help.
And this is why I believe we’re living in hell on Earth. The amount of suffering half the population suffers is enough for me to believe this is hell. I’m also in my own personal hell. Idk Rocketman, I hope you find someone who can fix your spine.
It’s funny that I was thinking of you and a few of the others just a little while ago. It’s nice to hear from you, but sad to see you back here. The biggest hope any of us have is that a few of us manage to get out of here safely. Sorry to hear you are in so much pain. Hope they increase you meds. Or better yet the pain just naturally subsidies.
Holy hell Rocketman, I remember you as a cheerbringer of sorts to the down and low on here, it was long back and I’d assumed you moved on to better things given your upbeat outlook. It’s shocking to hear you’ve been bedridden for months! Spine ailment is always bad news. Keep up the fight man, may you get relief from the pain soon.
Sorry to hear rocketman I can probably relate a bit as I’ve suffered major back issues the past 10 yrs or so.
I’ve also had major spasms and sciatic nerve pain, which feels like someone stabbing me in the back and like my right leg was on fire. But in time I healed and improved.
Unfortunately, I’m currently going through a sprain again…I get negligent and don’t take it seriously. I had pledged to myself to work out the back, that’s the best way I’ve found to strengthen it and solve this issue but I’ve forgotten about it when I feel normal again.
Ya the average person doesn’t really have a clue how much pain and suffering we are capable of…and I can’t imagine if the pain just never goes away…that’s really terrible.
I hope for the best for you, that they can find a way to fix it or reduce your suffering. At least they should give you the meds you need so you don’t feel it…but I guess they are worried about complications and maybe developing an addiction to the drugs.
But they should give you something to at least dull it out…speaking only for myself, if I had a condition that was incurable and had constant pain, then ya I wouldn’t hesitate to seek a way out of this life…I’ve suffered enough and see no point in prolonging it.
Being chronically ill, I know tons of chronically ill ppl. And almost every single one I’ve met IRL, is addicted to pain meds. And drs NEVER give you enough. Many times they start you off with a decent dose, then they suddenly lower the dose when the person asks for more.
All pain meds (at least the ones that work), you develop a tolerance over time, so the chronically person is always going to need to ask the dr to up the dose, and the second you do that, the dr then LOWERS your dose bc they think you’re just faking your pain to get more meds.
It’s a cruel cycle. Just bc a few ppl abuse it, or tries to get extra so they can sell it, they assume EVERY person is trying to scam into getting more pain meds than they need. And it’s not just the drs. It’s the insurance companies- if a dr actually gives ppl the appropriate dose and frequency to ppl, the dr gets in trouble for doling out too much.
This is what capitalism does. And yet idiot Americans think capitalism is SO good. pfft.
Sorry you’re suffering Rocketman.
Interesting info Eternal, that is really awful.
But if a person develops a tolerance, then doesn’t the cycle go the other way? I’m getting too high a dose of pain meds could cause major health issues/perhaps even death so maybe that’s why they don’t do it.
You’re right about Capitalism, they foolishly applied economic principles to social issues like health care where it has no business being.
Here in Canada, our health care system used to be amazing, but thanks to evil opponents, they’ve cut back on everything, including doctors, so now we got crazy long wait times, lower quality of service and you have to pay for some of the things that used to be free.
Free universal health care works and can easily be covered by taxes…I’ve seen it for decades. It’s just evil politicians working for business interests that are pushing us towards the US style system which is horrible.
We have a mixed economic system but they are gutting social programs. We need heroes here to fight for the ‘little guy’ and keep these services strong and well funded. I know there are some European nations that know how to keep the greedy capitalist azholes in line and provide excellent social programs for their people…we need it in every country.
*Meaning (not I’m)
lol no, they don’t give a rats ass about the ppl. they don’t like giving out pain meds bc it has street value, and they think every pain patient is either a junkie or out to scam the system to sell them underground. so they limit pain meds to ppl who legit have a need for them.
and on the converse, it’s especially cruel bc the majority of opiod addicts (which is another story), start out as someone who needed pain meds on a short term basis, like someone who broke a bone or had surgery, etc. But the drs start them out on huge and high doses, so they become addicted to it.
leave it up to the medical industry to HOOK you on pills to begin with, and then when you’re hooked, they take those pills out from under you.
Ya it’s pretty awful what these doctors are doing to people.
I can see why some of them OD on the drugs…in a sense Fen and CarFen are a blessing for some of these people…an escape from a tragic life.
it’s all a racket.
