That’s why I get so annoyed at ppl when they keep arguing saying “money isn’t everything” or “money isn’t important.” TF money isn’t important. It may not be everything, but it sure af IS important. People who say “money isn’t important” are trying to convince themselves that their lives are great despite living paycheck to paycheck. Either that or they’re making great money and are just tone-deaf.
Totally, I hate that phrase… Ppl who say that have never felt the suffocating weight of debt, never faced homelessness because they can’t make rent. I honestly believe half of suicides could be avoided if they had just a little more money to survive. It makes a huge difference, literally life & death.
exactly. many suicides are due to poverty/lack of money or the lack of money that CAUSES a ton of other problems, like health, alcoholism, lack of opportunities, etc. I sure af won’t be half as depressed if i had all the money i needed/wanted to go do the things i want to do, live where i want to live, and pay for all my healthcare needs. but no. it’s not money. it’s “you have to change your way of thinking!”
