School is humbling me. Ive very quickly discovered that im not as intelligent as I thought I was. I have good grades, for now. But this one class Im taking is just so, so difficult. I dont believe ill be passing with an A, maybe not even a B. The lowest I coukd get in this class is a 77. I have an 92 right now, but god, this class has been taking a lot out of me mentally. My motivation just isnt there, and its likely my grade will drop in the coming weeks.
Have any of you made it into 4 year univerisities with a C or lower? If so, where did you go?

I’m going to be honest, I forgot when I got totally humbled for school. Sometime during undergrad I’m sure, but I can’t pinpoint exactly when.
The old saying goes “C’s get degrees”. If you’re getting an A this late into the semester, I have confidence you will pass the class. Hope it gets better.
Thanks for the input, Joe. That makes me feel somewhat better. Ill try to keep my head up
Oh man, it was years of getting my butt kicked by classes before I started feeling smart. I flunked out of a semester, but that was a youthful mistake. Then much later it was like the difficulty curve reversed, I learned some tricks about how to please professors.
That’s the thing, a professor is a boss, no different than any other. When I figured out that reading their syllabus early in the semester and planning the work was the trick, my GPA recovered. My last two years I looked brilliant. I don’t know if I was, but academically I was a success.
actually, a professor is probably different than any boss you’ve ever had, they want you to succeed, most of them are rooting for you, if you can tap into that it gets a lot easier.
This depends on many things. What class is this? What will be your intended university and major? Ideally school should help students not just learn but also find out which jobs are most suited for them, but the program can be so decoupled from reality sometimes and students are left to make do with their own research. Nowadays there is more information online, but on the flip side, a lot of misleading information as well.
