Miserable? Or wonderous?
Out of reach or full of possibilities?
Unfair and unjust? Or is it fair enough?
Cruel or “it’s just the way it is”?
Do you fight it or just accept it?

I can only describe the world as I know it, and my world is very small these days. The world is simple, run by simple and rather underdeveloped minds, it does not place much value on intellect or wisdom. It is sadly lacking in opportunities, especially economic.
You understand, I only have a few hundred miles to work with, I might as well be living in medieval Europe for how poor I am in terms of geography. The only upshot is that it is less dominated by conservatives than it was.
It’s still too warm and closed minded for me. Alas, one cannot have everything. You talk about cruel, and I’m wondering if I can consider this part of Oklahoma merciful enough? Time will tell. They’re trying, that has to count for something. I’ll take part in helping them try as long as I’m stuck here, but of course I want out. Lots of people want out.
Another warm winter, I can’t stand them, they’re one of the most annoying things about Oklahoma. At least if I was near the coast I could go swimming.
