Is it weird that I badly want a kid right now and I’m
Only 14.
It’s like I need it!!!!!
I’ve wanted one for a while and yah I know having a kid now could “ruin” my life… I’ve been told… But I don’t agree!
no im not saying that at all… ill just let you know from experience that whether or not YOU care, it does not mean there can be devastatingly negative consequences. other people can make things real bad for you. you cannot control that.
oh yea. i love dogs! you gotta pick up their turds though
Having a kid now could ruin your kid’s life. If you have a baby at 14, the child faces a higher risk of medical problems at birth and thereafter, especially if your eating habits suck, as they do for many 14 year olds. So yeah, forget ruining your life, it doesn’t even matter compared to what you will be doing to the kid. Wait at least a few more years.
I think grave-e has the right idea. Maybe work with kids, instead of having one at such a young age.
I can kind of understand why you might want a kid. I mean it is a person that is yours, related to you, and someone you can really LOVE and they can love you back.
But it really is a LOT of responsibility, and that’s why I like grave-e suggestion. And when people say “ruin” I think they just mean kids will hinder you from doing other things, kids are little people you have to CONSTANTLY care for. Little free time, little relaxation, little time for chance of much. Plus it’d be hard for you to finish your education…
But you’re right about other people – don’t mind others who judge you…but lost is SEMI right, I mean it’d be a lot to deal with…
But also, think of the problems it will create if your parents don’t want you to have a dog, how would they think about a child? How well would they support you? Plus the child may be at risk at being taken away…
Though I think all of us here would support you…
Yes yes I know…. I’m willing to change tho. I’m willing to eat right and take extra careful in everything I do….. And yes I understand how it could “ruin” you life…. But I don’t think it would ruin mine
Babies having babies. go to college first and establish a career so you can support the child. Unless you plan on living at home the rest of your life with a kid.
back your bus up son, there’s lots of young women 20-22yrs old that have babies before they establish their careers and are Extremely successful. for many thats a really good age. they finish college while taking care of the baby cause the school schedule is more flexible. Trick is, you have to have a scholarship to pay for school.
yuh, but she’s not 20-22yrs old. not even grass on that field yet. she could try some baby sitting jobs changing crappy diapers for awhile and see what it’s like.
I think that Good Girl has asked an important question. If you’re not sure why you want a child (and remember they don’t stay babies for long) then it’s probable that it’s the natural procreation instinct – the urge to produce children regardless of whether it’s in your best interest – or theirs.
Having a child now may not ‘ruin’ your life – but it will change it. I guarantee it. And not necessarily in the ways that you expect. There’s more to being a parent than cleaning icky bottoms, sleepless nights and constant worry (although that’s a major part of it). You think you’d have someone there for you to love and who will you love you back. But will they always be there for you? Look around yourself. How many kids your age are there loving their mothers? And then when they become an adult – they leave. They must. To live their own lives.
I remember reading somewhere that having a child is like having your heart walking around outside your body. I think that may well have a point. Do you want to put your heart out there where it can be hurt, where you can’t keep it safe, where you’re not even in control of what it does?
I think there’s a reason why society in general prefers women to be older before they have children – partly biological (whilst your body is physically capable of producing a child, it’s still developing and you’re likely to cause yourself damage in having one) and partly emotional – it’s hard enough dealing with your own volatile emotions at your age without adding the turbulent emotions that come with pregnancy and the tiredness as well.
btw-as an added item, having a baby drains the nutrition out of the mothers body (I read somewhere that it ‘ages’ you by about 5 years per child). It is therefore best if the mother has had a good diet for at least 6 months to a year before hand in order to build up their stores. Perhaps you should try eating properly for a year before thinking about it?
Hey I know were your cominq from. From fourthteen and until now I want a baby,a baby qirl to specific. All’s I qotta say Is the reason why I wanted one cause the thouqht of havinq one Is so like wonderful,a qift!.I would tell you the other reason but I don’t want you to think I’m some kinda thuq you know but I mean If your fully ready then qo for It and If you do remember only move foward not backward’s.

Go work with kids for a while. Volunteer. You have maybe thirty or more years during which you can have a baby. No need to rush.
Yah I’ve been thinking about working with kids.. But i just feel like a need a kid now…….
its not a good idea to do something that is frowned upon in society like having a child while you’re that young.
A dog is a much better companion. At least you know where you stand. If you have children you are on a sticky wicket.
Fist I wouldn’t care if people would look at me with a child and judge me and call me a whore…
And yah I want a dog. But my parents are against it.
But theyre not against you having a child?

Well it isn’t something you can just take a break from. I just want you to be fully aware of everything…
And I think “ruin” is the wrong word.
Yes I know. And I agree. That’s why I hate when people say “ruin”

*Why* do you want a baby though?
I’m not sure really…

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
