Take melatonin that always helps me. Bright lights, like the computer screen makes it difficult to sleep if you automatically transition from the computer to bed therefore take a break in-between (like read a book!).
talk about what? How about them Angels they got Albert Pujols and CJ Wilson this year, do you think they improved enough to beat out Texas in the American League West?
Heyo. Only 12 AM here…I’ll probably be awake for another 3 hours…what to do?
THANK YOU, Dodgers fan for the win.
I’ve been told to take melatonin too, though never do…maybe I should try that? Anywho heard there is a specific amount that helps more than others? Meh, sounds like a good idea though. Plan on trying teengirl17?
And as WhatAmIDoingHere asks, what do you want to talk about? Or just whatever comes to mind?
Dodger fan no wonder you are depressed lol, although with Matt Kemp and Clayton Kershaw you at least have a few things to cheer about, even if the team is being auctioned off. You guys should have had the MVP and Cy Young awards both going to your team last year, Kemp was robbed but hey maybe that will motivate him to go out and have an even bigger year this season
Heh, true that WhatAmI. I swear every time I watch them they lose, bah.
Well anyway, can’t really talk more about baseball or sports, not really one for ’em anyhow.
Topic change then @tg?
I chose not to really try it because I like the night, staying up till the wee hours. It’s just dark and quiet, etc etc. Guess I’m just a night owl like that…
How long have you not been able to sleep?
@Will I always preferred being awake at night to. It just always seemed better. I think mostly because I prefer spending time alone, so of course when everyone else is asleep I am alot less likely to be bothered by other people
Can’t decide if ending it at night would be wrong or what? Hm. Because I think, and a friend’s rule too, is that night is when you’re alone and probably feeling the worst. So not exactly in the right state of mind. Meh, I don’t know…we’ll see.
i love the night, i read this poem once i dont really remeber it but it was something like the night has a thousand eyes but the day only has one, meaning the stars vs the sun:] i agree that it would probably be the best time to end it all…
yea being alone can have its downside to, being bothered by other people can also be a distraction. With no distractions you are left to dwell on your own thoughts, which can be pretty depressing at times. As you dwell on the problems they get magnified which only makes them more depressing whole downward spiral thing going on there lol. Some nights are just spent listening to music and staring at the ceiling.
Most people get tired and just miss it. They don’t seem to fully understand it. Though they don’t understand why I enjoy the rain either, meh oh well.
You really are a star / galaxy person aren’t ya? Well I can appreciate that. The universe is a pretty/crazy place. Galaxies, stars, planets, clouds, etc etc., leaves a person in awe.
I think it depends, I do agree partially with the rule/idea that you shouldn’t end it at night, in that SOMETIMES you’ll just be in a poor mood. That you are alone with your thoughts…However, I think it can also be a peaceful time to let all go too… Depends I suppose.
I have never really been much of a poetry fan, I have always just preferred plain simple to understand speech just say what you mean. I always felt poetry was to much about how you said something rather then what you actually had to say.
hmm english classes those were a long long time ago for me thank god. I always loved to read but I hated all the stuff I had to read for school. It was always stuff like Shakespeare or Homer or some other author that died way to long ago to still be relevant.
I can enjoy poetry…if I can puzzle out its meaning. I’m not going to enjoy a poem if it’s cryptic and I cannot apply it. For example I like, understand, and enjoy “The Night Has a Thousand Eyes”.
I think poems can be a wonderful medium to share feelings or ideas. Though I can also be sick of them too. Meh.
Ha, not a fan of English class? While I think some things may be old, I still can enjoy them. Maybe we’re not fighting Greek Gods or having disputes between families – I still think something can be learned or at least enjoyed by them. Got to love the classics( at least some…if you can puzzle them out ).
Disney…always stealing from others…But hey, at least they made it enjoyable for all. (Except their obscene suggestions and such in Lion King…lul)
hah yea and who hasn’t watched the lion king, maybe in a few hundred years they will be teaching that in English class or Gnomeo and Juliet at least 🙂 Its not even that Shakespeare is bad the stories are entertaining but first you have to translate that horribly archaic english of 500 years ago into something that people understand today. hmm Hamlet I remember having to memorize the Hamlet’s Soliloquy for english class talk about a waste of time…although the whole “to be or not to be that is the question” does seem more pertinent for this site.
haha yeah well i actually love english, one of favorite books is Weathuring Heights (which that chick from Twilight stole and mafe it awful) but poetry is starting to get old. I played Juliet in the ” romeo oh romeo” scene 🙂 and “to be or not to be” is definatly the question here
hey the twilight series wasn’t that bad…well ok it was but vampires are always kind of cool. Actually it probably wouldn’t have been that bad if it wasn’t so over the top ridiculously emo. I don’t think I ever had to read Weathering Heights but if its anything like Twilight I guess I am thankful of that, sounds like it must have been the ye olde version of a chick flick.

@WAIDH: Pretty much sums it up right there.

The Night Has a Thousand Eyes
Francis William Bourdillon (b. 1852)
THE NIGHT has a thousand eyes,
And the day but one;
Yet the light of the bright world dies
With the dying sun.
The mind has a thousand eyes,
And the heart but one;
Yet the light of a whole life dies
When love is done.
yup thats the ond :] gotta love google
