ive taken to cutting myself so thats good. ive been doing it for almost 4 weeks exactly, my once spotless arm is quite impressively scarred now. no ones said anything though i mean seriously one of your best friends comes into school with giant scratches up and down her arm and you dont say anything? what is wrong with these people. and in my uniform my arms are never covered and i see all the random people in my class looking at my cuts and just being like ‘are those really..? but shes such a happy innocent person’. only one person out of at least 30 has said anything. and hes a dick, he always tries to grab my arm and look at them and says things like ‘thats right, tanya, just keep smiling maybe no one will notice?’ and even with him doing those things not a single person whos suppose to care about me has noticed or said anything.
nobody fucking cares, these cuts are my plea and its being ignored. what the fuck is wrong with these people.

Could it be that perhaps your schoolmates are too unfamiliar with self-injury to act as we hope they would? Sometimes people are scared off from the unknown; the fear blocks them from reaching out to individuals they otherwise would have gladly helped.
Have you tried talking to the boy who expressed some concern? Perhaps sit by him during lunchtime, and ask if he has time after-school, and strike up a conversation that way?
Self-injury has massively negative social stigmas–people think we’re freaks because of the way we let out our anger, frustration, and pain, and I think it’s important that we try to make sure people are aware of the biggest danger to our wellbeing: ourselves.

Its because they dont know what to say. They do care, but there is a sitgma with self injury. They dont know whether or not what you are doing is a cry for help or a cry for attention. Forgive them because they dont know how to handle this level of pain. They cant handle witnessing it from the outside they can never begin to comprehend how you are feeling. They dont know if trying to help you would help, or how you might react to them mentioning it. People have a bad habit of turning a blind eye to things they dont know how to handle and none of your friends are familiar with true hurt.
I’m sorry to hear that.This one qirl saw my cuts when I was qettinq my paper and I saw her seeinq my cuts and I just reacted fast and just qrabbed my papers fast.My papers fell but I didn’t care,I just left to the other side of the room for a second.She stares at me a lot now.Another friend asked what happened,I said a doq did It and he believed me.Maybe It’s qood that people don’t notice.
