I’ve noticed quite a few people here complaining about the rat race, the “slavery” of the system, the insanity of modern life, etc. This post began as a reply to a couple of posts today from “Good Adjective”. Three Years

In a couple of months, I’ll have been off and on visiting this site for about three years. Seen the SP traffic come and go. Man, that’s a weird thought. Especially considering I’ve never been suicidal. I suppose that’s one reason I tend to keep my comments somewhat sparse, and my posts even more so. Guess I’m going to “beat this dead horse” a bit more, sorry AgentQ.

Short sequence of events from approximately late o’clock last night/this morning:

– Put on some chill and somewhat sad music and decided to check SP (I like to be thematically appropriate, what can I say).

– Noticed that “twix this rainbow” had been blowing up the forum, post after post. Wondered what was up.

Not usually too into country type stuff, but I’ve been playing a bit of guitar myself again recently and this one struck me. Struck a chord, you could say. …and the people who frequent it, the drifters, the lurkers, the class-clowns, the drama queens, and everyone in-between. I may not post much, but I read, or at least skim over, most of the posts here. Why do I find what depressed and suicidal people have to say so fascinating? Ugh, idk man. Sleeping Positions

I saw something on the net recently about sleeping positions and what they supposedly mean about your personality and what not. Now, I’m not the type to buy into things like that, but I had to have a bit of a sad, grudging laugh when I thought about it. My usual sleeping position was not listed. I tend to sleep on my back, legs together and hands folded neatly on my chest, like someone laid out for burial. I never really noticed before. Hah… I wonder what that says about me.
