It’s an oxymoron; I know. Because by definition a suicide note is representative of something horrible, and the word perfect means lacking in flaws or defects: so you really cannot have a perfect suicide, can you? I don’t know if it’s possible or not. But I want to come as close as I can. My name is Rachel. I am seventeen years old. It’s come to this.

Hi, everybody.

I didn’t use to think of myself as suicidal in any sense.

I’m seventeen years old, and I have felt so overwhelmed lately I don’t know what to do or how to cope.

My dad was diagnosed with hypertensive heart disease this year, and he’s been in and out of the hospital. He doesn’t live with me, but I go to his house nearly everyday after school to be with him, because I’m never sure when he won’t be around any longer.

I’ve also been struggling with financial issues with my family, and to top it all off, school has been absolutely exhausting.

Everyone has troubles. It’s life. Everyone endures bullshit from time to time. Though some, in fact, are worse than others. I’ve never told anyone any of this before. And to be honest, I’m scared. I’m afraid of being judged. Of being misunderstood in my story. But I’ll tell you.
