“Hi, my name is Gerard. I’m just a bit concerned by the tendency of the medical profession and society in general to want to put a label on us as depressive people and therefore that there’s something wrong with us.
I think that some people may have an inability to cope, and maybe this might sound a bit extreme, but that might be Darwinian theory, the Darwin theory of survival of the fittest.
Maybe some of us aren’t meant to survive, maybe some of us are meant to kill ourselves because the only people that really suffer are the ones left behind, but the person who kills themselves may in fact be liberated from this body.” – Life Matters, ABC Radio, Australia

Hello
Please, only constructive intelligent postings are welcome. See if you rethink yours and delete it and post it again.
The lost of those who you call “disposable” would harm the general welfare because precisely many of them have sensitive hearts and fine principles. If someone were to perish, that would be the ones who dont have them and cause the fine people to suffer.
O
good points. Thank you Hitler.
So did your theory of races cleansing.
The humans, who want no killing others unlike animals do according to survival instincts should be disposed of.
They are just too merciful to compete like an animal does, and should be extincted.
We should be like the American Gaga, or at least rob a bank, or snatch the handbag of an old lady to survive.
It’s merciless that a fearless animal could at least do for survival.
Are you recruiting ? Where to join ? I mean, other than hell.
lana, the above is what I felt of your post.
There are ways to be healed. Only that, are you willing to find it, or will you acknowledge and receive it, is the most difficult part.
This is a good post of laying out your thoughts. Thank you for sharing.
@oracle Have you appointed yourself moderator. If someone isn’t very intelligent are they not allowed to post to this site. People are looking for answers here and need to be able to express themselves. The post was written in the form of a question and open for discussion.
@unity
1) The post clearly says that “but the person who kills themselves may in fact be liberated from this body.” among other things. And that is obnoxious in a place like this, to say the least.
2) My saying “intelligent” postings are welcome was the nice way of saying “annoying” comments should not be posted. Not that it particularly affects me, but I think about those to whom it could affect very badly. You may be fine, but some people are on the brink of despair just now, so the last thing they need is to read some rubbish of the sort.
3) And this last paragraph answers to your question about self appointed moderator. I am seeing very good comments most of the time, but the point of these website is both to express your feelings and help others or comment others with the best of your ability. Things like “yeah, go ahead, do it, etc, is something that does not need a moderator. Anybody could (and should) prevent that kind of things.
O
@ oracle
1) Once again, the post was written as a question. Because it references a quote doesn’t change that.
2) That wasn’t a very intelligent/clear way to say it. I do understand and appreciate your reasoning on people being on the brink, but once again, you picked a post that was in the form of a question and requesting answers, not in the form of a statement.
3) It is not for anyone to say another cannot ask a question. This was a very serious post that this person needed to discuss. I would hate to think that on a site like this a person couldn’t discuss that with others. I believe you could have replied to this person in an “intelligent and constructive way” instead of bashing him. Before you tell others what this site is all about, I really think you should read the opening post from the administrator.
On the other hand, I do appreciate some of your comments. Don’t get me wrong, I do agree that positive statements are what’s really needed here. But people do need to be able to discuss their thoughts.
@ Oracle P.S. I sincerely hope my written words are not coming across in a mean or pissed of way. I do appreciate what I see to be your sincere concern for other’s emotions. Many people, in all walks of life, don’t get that. A comment that may crush someone is often said by some as easily as saying hello.
As I heard someone say in a movie, ” sticks and stones may hurt my bones but words hurt more than anything”.
Once again, I really do appreciate your insight to and concern for other’s feelings. Many either don’t care or just don’t seem to have taken the time and thought to nurture that ability. In my opinion, you are one of the lotus flowers that rise up through the muddy swamps, blooming and seeding simultaneously. I think you can figure out that metaphor.
Take Care My Friend,
John
