I know my problems are insignificant and rather common. Maybe I’m just not cut out to handle this thing they call growing up. My head is spinning. I can’t focus on anything, and I’m on the verge of breaking down. I have absolutely no idea what I want to do with my life in terms of uni, and I’m running out of time. Each day, I feel the added pressure. I have so much stuff to do, but I can’t help but sit here, staring at the wall with thoughts racing through my mind. God my head hurts so bad. Sometimes I think suicide is a good idea, to escape all of this pressure and not have to make a decision. It’s been awhile.

why are you running out of time?
you shouldn’t have to rush into something that’ll affect a big portion of your life. if uni is an ultimatum like decision being forced on you by a parent/guardian, and you have no idea, take general courses most degrees want for some reason, that you can manage and have an interest in. otherwise, see if you can wait until you’re sure of what you want to do, and then go after it in whatever way. college isn’t always necessary for a career.
i think you’re allowed to take a breather. fine, you have some decisions to make. but it’s for you, your life, so you can take the consideration into making them. comparisons.. they don’t help. everyone has their own circumstances to deal with. suffering is suffering, some i don’t understand and some i don’t want to, but that doesn’t mean a justification should be needed for pain to be felt.
and hey, you’ve made it to this point. that shows something, yeah. good luck.
Thank you for your insight and the luck. It’s much needed. I’m just a perfectionist, or at least I try to be, so I try to stay ahead of the game. The last thing I want to do is fall behind, so I tend to plan everything out, even though life doesn’t usually go according to plan, but making plans is comforting. Thanks again.
Fight off your demons.
Seems like your experiencing a lot of pressure. Don’t worry about university major just yet, you still got time. Take your gen ed courses for a few semesters and you’ll figure out what you want to major in before you know it. Having some direction is good but if you can’t make a decision yet, don’t feel rushed to make one either. The clock is not chasing you and there’s more than enough time. Think about how common it is for people to go back to school after they graduate to change their field of study. Plans change and things don’t go the way you expect but you have to seem them through anyway. When the time comes, you’ll do what needs to be done. Your problems aren’t insignificant, don’t sell yourself short and try to be excited instead of scared of your upcoming college adventure.
