After giving up on Helium because I cant get a replacement flow gauge that I need for my bag setup and my local supplier of ******** was out of the cylinder size that I needed, (I have a regulator and flow gauge for N2 but my tank is almost empty) I have had to put my plans on hold for a few more days until I can get an exchange cylinder of N2.
After doing some serious research on inhaled inert gasses, I can see why so many attempts fail. It is not nearly as simple as books and internet pages make it sound. It is a very precise procedure and almost needs an engineering degree to do it right. Fortunately I am an engineer. It is not nearly as simple as putting a bag on your head, connecting a hose from a tank of helium and just turning it on. I may later give a detailed description of the equipment you need to buy along with exact steps to take. The info is already out there but it is not all in one place. I will save that for later.
My ex-boss called me this evening and offered me some work plus if I wanted to move closer to work (40 miles one way from current home) he would let me use one of the company dodge caravans plus a trailer to move and would also get his two huge brothers to help me load and unload my stuff. WOW!!
Moving was one of my biggest hurdles to jump while being broke. I am not going to make a friend of my current landlord, but me staying alive is more important to me than a good reference
Something actually went right…finally. There may be a little relief in sight and and I may not have to kill myself after all, at least not right now.
There are 22 apartments for rent close to where I would work that the rent is low enough to allow me to pay bills and just get by. I just hope that my joy is not premature as it sometimes is. I also accomplished all this without once resorting to prayer. 😉
Huggs and Kisses to all the nice people on this list that have made me smile during bad times. I will still be reading posts from this site. TTFN 🙂

Yay! DeadRight lives to fight another day. Really pleased.
Hey, if you have any luck left over send it this way; I could do with it. 🙂
Hey DR – glad you caught a bit of a break … hopefully it’s a gateway to more good things to come … i always love how the faithful will say “Oh, it’s a miracle from God to have sent you what you need” … to me this is precisely why I DON’T believe or reject “god” … what kind of bastich lets you get to the end of the last thread of your very frayed rope – and THEN throws you a bone? Well if there is a god, he’s a sadistic prick!
Anyway – please send me notes on your research via email if you could please? i’d like to get everything in place before the next time god decides to push me off a cliff with two feathers just to see if I can fly 😉
all the best my friend,
rental dawg
deadright, please share your research in the helium thread if you get a chance.
Cool!!!good to hear youre sticking round i for one would miss your bloggs!!!
glad to hear that life can throw others a bone now and again. i don’t see any coming my way so any insight you have regarding helium would be greatly appreciated. there is so much information out there about it but the more the better. flow regulators are my biggest concern. Exit Int charges a fortune for them now and I think they ship from Australia. I’m in the states. I can’t order things online because of my living situation so procuring items at stores is my only option right now. Any insight you can share would be helpful. Happy apartment hunting!
