Earlier today in the town right next to where I live, a kid committed suicide. He was only 17. I went on facebook today and a “Friend” of mine was acting entirely childish about the entire thing and posting comments about how “if he was gonna off himself he should have done it with a gun or hanging himself at least”. How dare someone. How can someone even begin to make a comment like that on such a serious and awful topic? I didn’t know the person, but I can only imagine how much pain he must have been feeling to resort to that. He then proceeded to make comments about how depression is just a “problem” and people just need to get the f*ck over their problems, cause everyones got them. And then he deleted me and everyone who commented or liked anything saying about how childish, rude, and completely disrespecting he was being.
As someone dealing with depression and thoughts of suicide, I just can’t stand when people make comments like that. THEY may never have dealt with depression, or self harm, or whatever the situation is, so I understand that they may not understand it, but they can at least show respect on such a serious topic.
Okay, I’m done ranting now.
My prayers to their family and everyone dealing with suicide.

a boy i know killed himself last year, and his girlfriend woke up and found him.:( it was so horrible, and people were cruel about that too. i remember in the news there was a little girl a couple years ago who was bullied and she killed herself,i remember the story because the kids she went to school with were so disgusting about it.some people are really really cruel. 🙁 my prayers go out to the family too. idk how anybody could be so mean,to pick on someone after their dead.:(
Look some people arn’t worth knowing that guy being a dick on Facebook is one of them.while we’re on the subject of Facebook we are all separated by two degrees that is someone you know knows someone you know unfortunatly we all have people on fb that we don’t really know or want to and we are just collecting names to make us feel accepted(not all of us maybe not even you)the best thing you can do is think of that poor kid then think of yourself..you have a gift something he couldn’t handle ..life you have a warm heart and feelings and you can make changes in your life for the better 🙂 that poor lad can’t change anything now he has no” life” very hard to grasp why dickheads like the guy on fb think they have the right to comment on something they know nothing about..my heart goes out to the lad and you I hope you find a way forward we are with you keep writting it does help I find…
I experienced/witnessed something similar recently..
I’ve been staying with my family for a few days and some family friends were over and talking about how some years ago one of their nephews committed suicide. They were like “how could he do that, he put himself on display for everyone to see, at least he could’ve done it somewhere remote so his family didn’t have to see it when they walked in the door.”
It’s messed up how she judges him and makes it about his family.. like “how dare he do that to his family”
I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s people like her who put some of us down this path to begin with. For me I think it’s just me along with the experiences I’ve had dealing with many people over the years.
