Is the “survivor” the one that attempts and survives OR a friend and/or fam of a person that killed themself? It is exactly 2 years today that my brother took his life. 270 to his head. Yes it was a success as far as suicide is concerned. Were there other options? I would like to think so. But I recognize he may not have felt the options were available. I only know my specific situation. I have zero right to say what others might do or think about doing. I am available to talk to, to answer questions in honesty.

I’m sorry about your brother.
Sorry for the loss of your brother.
Survivors can be both.
Someone who attempts or someone who cares about a person who attempts.
Just splitting hairs really.
How did you deal with it? It mystery feel awful. I want to grow strong and firm. I don’t want to live to make others suffer, but I don’t wanna die to make it worse. What can I do? What did you do?
How do u call either one a survivor? i mean the family looses a loved one, its not like the whole family went through a dangerous kidnapping and he died to save them, or a plane crash and they survived, as for the person who attempted im more intended to look at that as poor planning than a survival. i dunno, i might just be being a **** here…
Ps. sorry about ur brother
