…but I think western society has some pretty f’king high expectations for everyone. Where’s the love? It doesn’t seem real to me. Hence, most of us are stuck here.. struggling. It just ain’t right… I dunno if I’m saying that right.. but yeah.. where the f*** is the love?

this is an edit of sthg I posted in another thread
“I strongly believe your soul longs for a land-rover lifestyle, to explore your surroundings as you please and to learn things out of curiosity (and not obligation)
to be functional in modern society, you have to have been trained into killing those drives .. the majority of things we’re expected to do don’t feel right because they (imo) go against our soul drives .. in the end, we’re trained to doubt ourselves + serve big brother instead of being allowed to grow and gain confidence
you have to kill your true self to adjust to society and money allows you to gain freedom”
I no longer believe depression to be a “mental illness”, it’s those who don’t mind complying to an abusive society who are the sick ones
I’ve read fear/darkness is the lack of love/light .. and this society is fear-driven
the majority of parents teach fear (dont do this, don’t do that or)
TV promotes fear
the gov tells you who to fear
religions promote fear (expect for buddhism (?))
how the f-ck are we supposed to experience genuine love in a fearful environment ?
*except
let’s rewrite the world
I’d rather watch it burn, freeze or be hit by a meteore .. does this make me evil ?
no, i also believe that one needs to be destroyed first before it’s to be rebuilt
in a sense, it’s also a method of rewriting the world
by destruction
The love is still there somewhere. It’s just that we have trouble seeing the good, loving people when the dark and cruel people are screaming and demanding to be noticed constantly. And often that darkness lives in our minds and can distort how we see and feel about everything else, covering up the goodness and light and love. But just by refusing to back down to that darkness, we’re putting more love into the world. By trying to be more like the people we’d want to know, we’re making the world a more loving place. Aspects of the world are, undoubtedly, cruel and mean unjust and filled with hate, but other aspects are kind and selfless and loving an beautiful. Think of the love and the good people like the stars that are always there, even if they’re hard to see behind the clouds. Just know that they’re there.
It’s there, it’s just we resist it. That’s all. It’s like tuning your radio dial to that frequency. There’s so much crap on tv, media…on and on. We hear about fighting this sickness or that sickness…it’s nuts. We need to let go our egos and dive in to the truth that making the choice to feel good will put us in proximity to the love that is all around us all the time. We need to choose it though and refrain from putting our attention on CNN or any other stream of negativity. But I agree, I have asked that question many times….it is harder to feel it here and that’s all any man, woman, and child wants and needs. Why are we not fighting like a warrior for that?
