“I look at my little sister and think how she has inherited the best qualities our family has to offer: my mother’s healing hands, my father’s level head, and my fight. There’s something else there as well, something entirely her own. An ability to look into the confusing mess of life and see things as they are. ” – Mockingjay

Hunger Games- i could recognise it with my eyes closed.
But I’m curious how does this part of the book link?
Link to what?
π
Link to this site? What do you mean by putting this quote up?
Sorry analystic person i love to try understanding everything that goes on around me and i’m always very curious. You’ll always find me with atleast a million questions.
Questions are good! Ha ha π
The quote is about Prim’s wisdom and great ability for insight. One of the most important abilities to have in life in my opinion, if not THE most important.
I see it know. Quite deep. Well that is a very sad part of the book. But it was bound to happen. Human mind is limited, which is why i love and hated the book so much. The book was real, and it felt real.
But the thing is wisdom im is so rare, i have met very few people that i could place as wise but they only have a little bit in them, but that in itself is enough.
It is an important quality but i think as few people have it, it isn’t the most important one. How do you see it as most important?
The human mind is limited my a**. It just happens that only evil people make it to the top and pull the strings for everyone else.
Wisdom allows you to understand life, the world, other people, yourself, your feelings, it enables you to make better choices, all working towards your happiness. See my point?
@Shadows Sorry for being rude while talking about a topic like this. I was just really mad because some stupid post here. Not wise, I know…
It’s cool. I was wondering about the sudden mood change. It’s pointless to get angry over something trivial, and plus people here aren’t in their best senses, so let it pass.
Wouldn’t that be a mixture of different things like experience, knowing right and wrong and logic. Well i suppose these are the qualities are what make you wise.
But wait i’m missing one quality…right… good judgement. If you had good judgement you’d rarley make mistakes. Thats a contradiction because mistakes is what gives you good judgement and if you continously make mistakes- not exactly wise.
@Shadows Let’s see what google says about wisdom definitions:
“wisΓΒ·dom
1. The ability to discern or judge what is true, right, or lasting; insight.
2. Common sense; good judgment
wisdom
1. the ability or result of an ability to think and act utilizing knowledge, experience, understanding, common sense, and insight
2. accumulated knowledge, erudition, or enlightenment”
Ha ha! π That’s what I was thinking too!
just.me.19 @
And thats evidence that you really are the wise one. π
Tick Tock.
