I could drop off the edge of the Earth and would be able to count on one hand the people that would wonder where I went. I’m so alone, I don’t know why I’m here. I do have a few things I like to do, but doing them alone is almost not worth the effort or cost. I want to enjoy the things I like to do, but it is so hard when once I do those things there is no one to share with. I sometimes think I’m waisting my time, and my life, even bothering to do things I like any more. Why can’t I even enjoy the things I like to do?

Being alone isn’t so bad.
Hey, being able to count on one hand the people that truly matter and care about you isn’t bad at all. Cherish those people. You’re lucky if you find ONE good friend in your entire life. Really. You’re not alone in how you’re feeling, a lot of people feel the same way. They want at least one person they can share things with. Don’t give up hope, you may yet find that person. Or maybe they’ll find you. Maybe it’ll happen the moment you’ve given up on finding that person. Who knows. If you like the things you do, why shouldn’t you do them? I kind of agree with Nir Dakon, being alone isn’t so bad. Some people don’t even know how to be alone. And when they finally are alone, for one reason or another, they can’t handle it. I know what feeling alone is like, it sucks. But think of those people that you can count on one hand, and the people on here, and the people who know how you feel – you’re not alone.
I hate being alone. Although I have often thought about buying a cabin in the middle of no where and actually wanting to be alone, but I’m not there yet…

I would do alot more aswell if I had someone to do them with, you dont go for days out on your own do ya!? well I dont. you dont cuddle up on the couch on your own do ya? well i dont, well not usually lol and you dont rent out a dvd to just watch by yourself do ya!?
1why count those people or care? that you would say that to me means either you care or your dont
2get used to doing shit you like alone and get good at it and then you will have a better shot at doing with others, even if its just living.I do it better alone~if your not doing what you like then you are wasting your life~follow your dreams or die trying
I used to be ok with being alone but ever since i lost interest in things i used to enjoy things changed. change is a big part of life and no one should have to be alone if they dont want to be.

I actually do all of those things you listed. I go for days on my own, I cuddle up on the couch by myself, and I watch movies by myself. It’s not so bad. lol

wow that was a quick reply goodgirl lol I find when i have someone in my life special it gives me more motivation to do things, makes me happier!
@Painman – Yeah, obviously I know that. I was just trying to be a little positive. I know when you feel like shit and you’re alone it doesn’t mean anything. But I was just trying to help. Maybe it would, maybe it wouldn’t. But it was worth a shot.
Just an fyi – that was in response to your question to me about not being alone because of people on the internet.
Being alone can be fun when I am in an upbeat mood. When depressed it can really grind me down. We are social animals, and I think the scattered and isolated lives we tend to live in our prosperous Western society is entirely unnatural and inevitably causes much loneliness and unnecessary suffering.
Don’t give up Wraith. There are billions of people here on earth. What are the odds that you can’t find someone, somewhere who would love to join with you in doing what you (and they) like to do?

You sound like every other person I know that’s alone until they find someone. I was alone and felt like that too till I found someone, Now I’ve lost control of the TV and eat a lot of Mexican food! Seriously you will find someone sooner or later everybody does, in the meantime get a cat or two.
