“Watching television is like taking black spray paint to your third eye.”
Does this strike anyone else as true? Staring hypnotically at NOTHING (which accurately describes the content of most shows) cripples us spiritually, mentally and emotionally in ways that most don’t realize.
Kill your TV!

Haha, while I agree that too much of something, even something good, can be bad… I still don’t think we should all up and just throw our TV out the window. Sometimes we see informational shows on there. I like those shows.
It makes sense.
Television is dumb, but it feels more dumb to have the life and easier to just watch others fucking it up.
Right now I watch the Powerpuffgirls and Billy&Mandy.
Both on carton network.
The last one is about Grim the Reaper who has to be on earth with two kids cause he lost a bet.
It’s easier, but it’s not better, fragile.
It worked for me.
It’s working now, but what about the future. I’m not saying the TV can’t help you sometimes. Just that don’t let it be the ONLY thing that helps you. Go outside for a walk. Pick some flowers, or if there’s snow then make a mini-snowman. Fresh air helps a lot.
I’m not saying it’s the only thing that helps.
Then that’s good 😀
But the content is poisonous. I think it lowers your IQ every time you sit down and fall into alpha rhythm, taking it all in as “reality.” And don’t even get me started about commercials.
It’s very true that tv is mostly crap that will rot your brain, but cutting and self isolation sure aren’t beneficial – the only reason we do these things is because they help us get through the day. It’s like a tradeoff between short term pleasures and long term health. If you have the willpower, you should go out into the real world and do something, but if you had any willpower, you probably wouldn’t be as depressed in the first place 🙂
Amen.
