How?? I’m sixteen, don’t know how to care for myself, my parents wouldn’t let me, have no money. And is it really better in the USA?? (I live in The Netherlands) If I read all the posts here, I don’t believe so. The only thing that maybe is better, is that you can get easier a gun there….
Honey, no one knows how to care for themselves until they learn by experience. i never said to move to USA, its a terrible place. But even moving to a different town might help. Change is as good as a holiday. In Nederland your social welfare is good, right? Can you get an allowance to study? I do think its worth holding on until you get a chance to see a bit more of you’re own backyard.
Yes, I can get an allowance. I believe it’s about €350 a month if you’re not living with your parents. But only a small room of 12 m2 is already €400 a month. Don’t talk about food I need, public transport to get to my study, collegemoney, money for books for college. Really, it isn’t possible, and my parents won’t support me. And besides that, I think it won’t solve my problems, but only makes it worse. Also I will study then far beneath my intelligent level and I’ll have to study twice as long. Really, I see no option in that….
I don’t know if you can find room shares in your town that would halve the rent but if you don’t think it will help I guess there’s no point. Why would you have to study beneath your level for twice as long?
No, I don’t think it’s an option. I haven’t got my graduation (it’s all different here in The Netherlands), so I can’t go to HBO (we call it like that, you have the lowest MBO, then HBO and then University, and if I pass my exams next year, I can go to HBO). But I can go to MBO, but that’s under my level. And if you want a good job, you actually need a diploma of HBO. But before I can go to HBO, I need to go to MBO for 4 years, and after that HBO for 4 years. So that’s two times as long as if I would pass my exams next year and go straightly to HBO. Hope you understand, it’s a little bit confusing…
Although guns are much easier to get in the USA, you should really try and overcome your depression. You’re only 16 and you’re not even an adult yet. There’s still so much to experience in life.
Dave_N, I know you have good meanings, but people have told me that for so many times. Actually, I don’t believe in it. I’ve been waiting and fighting for 12 years now and hoping that it will get a little bit better, but my life only got worse and worse… It’s really demotivating… 🙁 Like I said in my post, If this is what life is supposed to be, than I don’t want to live anymore….

Can you try relocating to a different part of the world?
