Hi everyone, I’m a 29 years old girl from France and I want to end my life.
I read a lot about the exit bag with helium method, I think it’s the best way for me to do it. No pain, quick, your body remains clean…
But I have one problem with this method. I can’t find a flow gas regulator ! I’m too young to order it from exit international. I looked everywhere online but everyone seems to have the same problem.
So I though about a plastic emergency tent instead of a bag. Here, you don’t need any flow regulator, since you inflate the tent then enter it. But one problem remains: how do you enter the tent without letting any oxygen in ?
My answer is…. what if I don’t enter it ? What if I use the tent the exact same way as a bag ? I would close one end, put an elastic band at the other end. Clear the tent from air, put it on the top of my head, with a pipe inside coming from the helium tank. I would then open the gas and wait for the tent to be completly full of helium. Then I would close the gas, exhale deelpy, and quickly put the tent over my face, with the elastic band around my neck.
What do you think of my plan ? Would it work ?
How many helium do I need ? A tent is aproximately 1200 liters.
With a so large content, I wouldn’t need any helium flow, right ? Will there be enough helium in the tent to beathe it until I die ?
Is there anything I forgot or did not think of ?
Thank you for reading and for your advice. 🙂

You are one brave woman. My hat off to you.
You should be able to find a adjustable regulator at a local welding or heating an air supply store, it may need some step down adapter depending on the size of the tank. And you can also use argon gas in the tent it displaces the oxygen, we use it in welding. This gas is heavier than oxygen so it will be at ground level, and should fill up the tent from the ground up granted it’s air tight
A tent? Yea theydont make those airtight lol
You made sure to not state why you have chosen to end your life. Certainly, it’s not easy to expose your life on the internet, I’m not here to judge you.
I shouldn’t say this because I’m giving you hints. I have looked on those methods, helium has a higher probability of failing and is way less effective than CO. But both methods can end up in failure and you can survive and live with brain damage. Yeah, sorry to spoil it, I was going to do it myself when the website where I found it spoiled it for me. There are many things that can go potentially wrong with your chosen method. Again, I’m not saying those things to provoke you, nor am I being the survivalist (even less when I want to die myself).
If you want to let something off your chest I’ll listen to you. I won’t judge you or be mean. peace everyone, stay strong.
i think if you could buy ticket for australlia and visit exit internationals headquorters they won’t dissapoint you. in your place i would go that way. because trying something on your own and then surviving it with hands disabled or feet disabled. you will not be able to reach spoon to your mouth what are you gonna do then? …do not take risks. go to bank, tell them you need a loan.lets say 2000$. dont tell them what you’r after. and thats it 🙂 the bank then may run after you in havens hehe… send them email before you leave this world, something like “sorry guys; you’v got dumped” :)))
Phalanx, what do you know about the effectiveness of ********? Willing to speak?
Phantom, from what I’ve read, organizations like Exit International won’t take people like me–18, good physical health, no medical conditions other than depression. Or am I wrong? Would Exit help someone like me who just wants to leave? I’d really appreciate any insight you can give. Thanks.
Thanks everyone for your messages.
@IowaGirl: Thanks. You’re right, organizations like Exit won’t take people like me and you.
@forsaken1: Thank you, I will look for a welding and see what I find.
@ calimike: I was thinking about those emergency tents, they are all plastic, like a giant garbage bag. I think it’s airtight.
@Phalanx: Thank you for your message. I am aware that I take a risk with this method. But I did a lot of research and I think I can’t choose another one. That’s why I try to collect informations to minimize the risks of failure.
@PhantomOfDarkness: If I could be helped by organizations like Exit, I would go in Switzerland. They help people die, but only if they have a terminal illness. And a few years ago, they used the helium exit bag method, so it must be a good method if well practiced.
Hello, i’m french too, i want to talk with you about this method since i’m seekikg a way out too.. jp67400@gmail.com feel free to send me a text..
Are you guys gone?
seems like pro-life movement is trying to use this forum to put you off with false stories.
Your method is a good one.
Step #1: Steal balloons from clown
Step #2: Float to altitude
Step #3: Let go
Step #4: SPLAT
This is the Helium Method.
I’m pretty sure that should have been the realistic outcome to UP! (i mean… the guy lost her wife and was a grumpy old man… pretty sure he would have grabbed those balloons without looking back… heck, it would have even worked if he was inside the house!).
