Alot of people upon getting to know me wonder why i want to be a writer, well thats a trick question really. yes the wealth and renown would be nice but that is not the main reason nor any reason at all.
i want to be remembered for what i do, not who i am. that is it really.
i mean just think, how many of your lives have been inspired by great literature?
peter pan,
alice in wonderland
the catcher in the rye
the great gatsby
where the wild things are
i mean that is just a few to mention.
dantes inferno
the never ending story
hell even if we go recent
harry potter
twilight
the infernal instruments series
the immortal instruments series
fifty shades of grey
and then there are books that never make the world famous list
house of night series
the puppet master
ephraims secrets
blue bloods series
the last dog on earth
ect, i could go on and on about the books i have read.
all i used to do is read, reading helped me through my shitty child hood and the early stages of adult hood. books were my friends, they let me into secret worlds that opened my eyes and made me beleive anything was possible.
as i kid i used to read harry potter and fantasize about getting free’d from my trap in various ways. which lead to me creating my own worlds
i just wish more people read as of late. i know countless amounts of people who never read, and even more so people who scorn me for reading.
books are a secret passage into wonderland in theory. you can do more so with books than movies
in movies what you see is what you get, in books you can alter, imagine paint scenery’s, even if they describe the character you can also imagine what they look like. you can do ANYTHING with a book.
books are legend, they are our childhood in a nut shell. i mean there are quotes from them we carry the rest of our lives.
Not all those who wander are lost ~The Fellowship of the Rings
We’re all mad here~ Alice in wonderland
You have great truths within you,if only anyone would bother to look ~The little prince
It does not do to dwell on dreams, and forget to live.~Â Harry potter and the sorcerer’s stone
You’re not the same as you were before. You were much more…”muchier” You’ve lost your “muchness”‘~ Alice in wonderland (movie remake)
I don’t know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.” ~ the fellowship of the rings
Does the walker choose the path or does the path choose the walker” ~The Abhorsen trilogy
“Some would say it is madness to want a woman this way,
but I think it must be love. Not the tepid, fickle love of which the
poets sing—the love that forms or fades with kindness or cruelty.
No, this love is something more divine—like the love of a god, both
vengeful and benign. It is as constant as the sea. And as beautiful.
As dangerous. As mysterious.
She is the only woman to ever refuse me. And yet, I want…”
~The Prince
“Books loved anyone who opened them, they gave you security and friendship and didn’t ask for anything in return; they never went away, never, not even when you treated them badly. “~ InkHeart
This book taught me, once and for all, how easily you can escape this world with the help of words! You can find friends between the pages of a book, wonderful friends.” ~ InkSpell
That is just a very few, there are many more remember able quotes, all you have to do is read.
now if there are still any questions as to why i want to be a writer, i do not want to be forgotten,” If anything you may forget me as a man, body and soul, but i shall not be forgotten on the mind, thou shalt my body be rotten in a tomb of stone. my thoughts are preserved, saved and cherished forever more in the minds of the young and lost. thou shall i forever be there for those in need, i shall put pen to paper once more to write the most epic adventure yet to be known among men.” ~Anonymous
i want to do good, i want to create just many places for those in need to escape to, just so they can shut out reality for just a little while and immerse themselves into the mess i call my thoughts. and maybe, just maybe one of them maybe able to translate it into a coherent piece of work.
~Sincerely, ShatteredGLass

Ever read the Wizard of Oz?
If you do become a writer, don’t forget to use allegory in what you write. That’s missing from almost every pulp-novel produced these days. Movies are absurd. Books make the world a better place.
allegory is an extremely hard thing for me to do 😕
