My philosophy in life is always want something, but dont ask for the impossible and definitely dont expect anything for free.
Life is a challenge there may be challenges around every corner but dont sit down n call it quits, find things u love and at least make an attempt to pursue them.

Ah, but, suffering is caused by desire.
Ergo: hope is the problem.
However, the opposite is not necessarily true:
A person without hope, can still have desire.
A person with desire, can still lack hope.
A person with hope is vulnerable to debilitating disappointment.
A person without hope, is not.
I choose invulnerability when it is an option.
Actually it’s “attachment” that causes suffering.
(Losing something that you think you can’t live without).
You’re better off letting go of whatever it is you thought you couldn’t live without.
Ah, although what drives one to “attachment”?
in your example the behaviour is motivated by desire to gain a reward or avoid an adverse outcome, either intrinsic or extrinsic.
Instincts (biological eg: love, fear), drives and needs (biological eg: food, water, sleep), and arousal (eg: excitement or relaxation) are what motivates us to act.
Desire is a powerful motivator.
“You’re better off letting go of whatever it is you thought you couldn’t live without.”
I agree, perspective defines our reality.
nice enough philosophy, even though the Buddha, i think, for one might object, but i don’t pay much attention to the buddha, i like your philosophy better
