They say im 18
but im still a child
who falls every night
wish someone could save her
just to make her feel alive
They say im mature
but im still a child
who’s not ready
for the painful rides
im so afraid
these things will never change
and her pain inside
yes im a child
and i cant hide
my pain
which is burried
deep inside
im acting
just like a child
because they would never understand
the feeling that comes
when u cut ur hands side by side

I have a question – do you want to be thought of as a child? At your age especially, maturity brings much greater rewards than an infantile composure. Yes, you may not be emotionally mature, but that’s a process you need to start yourself. Learn to be autonomous and independent. Relying solely on others for comfort won’t end well, it’s just a fact that not everyone can be there for you 24/7.
Growing up brings a lot of responsibility. It’s thrust upon us whether we like it or not. You either learn to embrace it no matter how difficult and onerous it is, or you can fight it which will eventually leave you in a tight, ugly spot. Take the steps you need to take responsibility for yourself. No one else will in the end, child or not.
You can always talk to me, if needed.
I’m always going to listen,
