Ivethine been trying the last few days always falter at the last, just tried to call Samaritans no answer. How can I take this as anything other than a sign??
Samaritans didnt answer?
Your name reminds me of the word wombat. That is an Australian marsupial. They are endangered and very cute. Stocky, and very strong. A lot stronger than the silly name would leave you to believe.
What on your mind?
Not getting through to Samaritans hardly qualifies as a sign. Sometimes, I think about something and my thoughts immediately appear in random posts and comments on suicide sites which is rather spooky.
You could try writing down what’s on your mind so that we can provide an opinion. It sometimes helps knowing that the people who are commenting might just be experiencing the exact same thing and it wasn’t a premonition.
Thank you for replying, I feel incredibly empty right now, I’ve lived with depression for over ten years but I’ve never felt as low as I do now. I’m in debt to my eyeballs, I’m on a final warning at work I’m behind on my rent. The only person I felt love for has had enough and I see no other way out. I don’t believe in an afterlife but if there is it can’t be any worse than this if there is one. I’m tired. I’ve never been more so. I can’t afford to see my doctor and even if I could I’m not willing to try another cocktail of drugs that won’t work or work for a short period after the hell adjusting to them. This is really it, I won’t see another sunrise
Try one last thing, wombers, I beg you.
I was exactly to the point you have just described, when I decided what the hey – I’ll give it a shot. I ain’t got nothing to lose.

It’s for real. It’s for you.
Dennis thank you for the effort but false hope to me is the same as no hope and what you’re offering is, again to me, false hope. Jesus or Allah or any other deity that has been pushed on me in my lifetime isn’t going to pull me out of debt or stop the loathing I have for myself anymore than Santa or the tooth fairy is! I don’t mean to take away from your beliefs, whatever keeps you going the more power to it. It’s just not going to help me
You haven’t lost your job yet. Worry about that if or when it happens. Try and make some headway with the debt by cutting down drastically on your general expenditure. You might want to tell your landlord about your difficulties and see whether you can come to an arrangement. If they aren’t understanding, consider whether there is anywhere else you can stay like with family or friends. At least you wont have to pay rent. Most of your salary should go toward clearing your debt. Once you get it under control you’ll start to feel much better. Maybe you can enter into a debt management plan to lessen the burden. There are thousands of people that have been on here for the same reasons. In fact the are lots of people out there struggling with debt, I’m in exactly the same predicament.
I haven’t paid my last three credit card bills. They call my 5 times a day and I just ignore them. I’ll pay them when I’m good and ready. Remember, it’s the lenders that are afraid not you. They don’t want to go to court because they know they wont be able to screw you for interest and there a chance they’ll never get their money back. If you are unable to pay at all or are in serious difficulty then get financial advice immediately. If you haven’t got nothing they can’t do nothing. It’s not like you’ve got a house they can repossess or a kidney that can force you to sell. It’s going to be a stressful time and that’s mainly down to the depression which is probably the main reason you got into debt in the first place.
Thanks. I guess I thought this was one of theses sites where people wouldn’t try to talk me out of this. I see no other escape and I know this is how it’s going to go, just kinda hoped I wouldn’t have to be completely alone.
hey wombers.
i feel the same way man. i’ve been fightin a tough mental battle for the past 6 years. I ain’t guna try to talk you out of it. Im just sayin i feel the same way.
No one is trying to talk you out of anything, I just think everyone has commented objectively, and its worthwhile listeninging, because if you’ve lost hope, it hard to see the things that others see.
It’s true, you haven’t lost your job yet. And money is a secondary issue to health – I’m pretty sure its illegal for hospitals to refuse treatment even if you can’t afford it. They’ll slap you with a bill, but that not something you should worry about at this stage. And I don’t think its ever too late to find love. I know 80 yr olds getting married.
The point of this is not to talk you out of anything. Just to demonstrate that you have options. Not great options, but there’s a choice in there somewhere. We will support you no matter what you chose. You’re not alone in how you feel. Not tht that’s a good thing, but it does make the world less lonely

Know that you are loved and that I am praying for you, dear one.

I pray you are still with us, wombers. Your life has infinite value, as does everyone’s here.
