I agree completely with this post, emotions are based off of reactions that are meant to help us survive. To weigh options, to evaluate our surroundings, to learn from mistakes and to be wary of danger. Often though, we let our emotions drive us rather than logic. Emotions are logical in some respect, but they lead us to do illogical things. Feeling something does not always make it true. Emotions lead to distorted thinking which is illogical. Separating emotions from clear thinking is hard for many people – because emotions feel that much more real. They’re more convincing than rationale. But like you said, they also make us human.
