I just wanted to ask a question. This isn’t to pick a fight, I just want to know.
What is so bad about being gay. I hear a lot that it’s unnatural and against some people’s religion, but why else?
Can you answer me that? I would genuinely like to know why you think that.

I don’t feel like someone who had ill feelings towards homosexuals would be on this type of site
Aside from religion, there is no other reason.
I personally think that two guys together is “gross,” but i damn sure won’t tell any of them they’re “wrong” to pursue what makes them feel good. It’s honestly none of my damn business.
I’m far less grossed out (ie: not really at all) by the idea of two girls together… but that’s probably because i find females attractive. If it’s not “wrong” for a guy to like guys, and it’s not “wrong” for a girl to like girls, then it also should not be wrong for a straight guy to say “i prefer the idea of two girls, over the idea of two guys.”
So, the answer to your question is: “Nothing.”
It’s just that lots of people are freaked out by things that are different, or that they are taught are “naturally wrong,” and they will insist that such things are wrong, even in the absence of any reasonable justification for their views.
It amounts to: “because eww, gross, different, scary.”
;o; let the anti-homosexual bible thumpers come a runnin to this post.
I dunno, honestly. I think some people have a problem with accepting that other people are different from themselves, and so being gay seems like something only demons would do. Because if you start from a perspective that says some divine creature created the human race a certain way, then the idea that some people are attracted to something different from that must obviously be wrong and reprehensible. Personally, I don’t think god would care that much – if he did, he’d be out smiting the dastardly sexual criminals with his mighty smiting stick of smiting. If he’s not doing that, then I’d think of it as a silent consent – and assume he’s probably more angry when people use his name to justify their own personal prejudices.
Being gay, to me, is just as bad as being heterosexual, asexual, or bisexual. That is to say, I don’t understand why some people are so fascinated with what others do in bed.
“…seems like something only demons would do.” LOL xD
There is nothing wrong with being gay.
Women gays are fine. There’s no problem there.
@Jesus H. Christ Why only women?
@lorax Amen. To everything you just said. “That is to say, I don’t understand why some people are so fascinated with what others do in bed.” hahaha
I suppose this is where someone needs to say: “well, then maybe you’re doing it wrong.”
@ Jesus, What does the ‘H’ stand for? Hussein? I’m 90% sure being Muslim is a sin, this is why you were crucified huh?
The muslims think Jesus was a prophet (peace be upon him) who was crucified for being a muslim. O.O
@jesus- Jesus H. Christ ..not again!? Lol
One of the main reasons people can be opposed to homosexuality concerns the matter of reproduction. Since two men or two women together can’t create life without a third party, people think it goes against the ‘natural order’ of things. But who’s to say that every human must reproduce? The truth is that there are many who do not produce offspring, whether through choice or through the inability. Therefore, ‘love’ and ‘pleasure’ has its own right to be pursued aside from the task of reproduction. In any case, in today’s world, even children born to hetero couples are sometimes brought to existence through ‘unorthodox’ means, such as surrogate parents, artificial insemination, or in vitro fertilization. So, if they are allowed to utilize these methods, what is wrong with a homosexual couple doing the same? Of course, there’s always the option of adopting children, as well. Then they cannot be shamed for living a childless life. But whether they do or not is their choice, as it is for anyone, more or less.
The “natural order” of things also includes asexual reproduction, hermaphroditism, and the really screwed up way that leopard slugs procreate. Ugh, it’s sickeningly beautiful. But according to nature, since we’re part of nature, anything we do can be considered natural, no matter how bizarre or unsightly it may seem to observers.
